An absorbent article including a front waist portion, a back waist portion, and a crotch portion. An end portion of the back waist portion on an other side in the lateral direction is joined by a second joining portion to a fastening member, and the fastening member has a fastening portion being capable of being fastened to the front waist portion when putting on the absorbent article. While the front waist portion and the back waist portion are being stretched in the lateral direction, the lateral distance of the front waist portion from the lateral center of the absorbent main body to a lateral end of the front waist portion on the other side is smaller than the lateral distance of the back waist portion from the lateral center of absorbent main body to a lateral end of the back waist portion on the other side.

Absorbent article

An absorbent article includes: a front waist portion extending along the lateral direction; a back waist portion extending along the lateral direction; and a crotch portion provided between the front waist portion and the back waist portion. A lateral end portion of the back waist portion on a one side and a lateral end portion of the front waist portion on the one side are joined by a first joining portion. The back waist portion has a fastening portion provided on another side in the lateral direction, and the fastening portion is capable of being fastened to the front waist portion when putting on the absorbent article. The front waist portion has a target region to which the fastening portion is to be fastened, and a lateral end of the target region on the one side is located on the one side relative to a lateral central position of the crotch portion.

In a half-open underpants-shaped diaper, a lateral end portion of a back waist portion is joined by a first joining portion to a lateral end portion of a front waist portion. The back waist portion includes an elastic region and a fastening portion on the other lateral side, the elastic region stretching/contracting in the lateral direction. The fastening portion is fastenable to the front waist portion when putting on the diaper, so that an end of the fastening portion closer to the elastic region is positioned on an end of an absorbent main body opposite to the first joining portion, the elastic region being located on a non-skin side of the other lateral end portion of the front waist portion, and having a stacking part in which the elastic region is stacked on the other lateral end portion of the front waist portion.

An absorbent article includes a front waist portion, a back waist portion and a crotch portion between the front waist portion and the back waist portion. A one-side end portion of the back waist portion on a one side in a lateral direction is joined to a one-side end portion of the front waist portion on the one side in the lateral direction. The back waist portion includes a fastening portion on another side in the lateral direction. The back waist portion includes an elastic region in at least an upper end portion. A lateral distance between a one-side end of the elastic region on the one-side and the center of the crotch portion is smaller than a lateral distance between an other-side end of the elastic region on the other side and the center of the crotch portion.

A wearing article having front and rear waist belt members that include waist elastic members attached thereto and spaced one from another in a longitudinal direction Y. On non-contractile regions, these elastic members do not overlap graphics on respective heat-sealable sheets or exert contractile force thereon. The non-contractile regions are formed by leaving between inner and outer sheets as well as between inner and outer sheets not coated with adhesive in respective middles of the front and rear waist belt members as viewed in a transverse direction X and cutting the waist elastic members attached under tension in the respective middles of the waist belt members. Along the ends of the non-contractile regions on the side of the crotch member, the inner and outer sheets as well as the inner and outer sheets are respectively joined to each other by means of heat sealing technique so as to form the joint zones.

Wearing article

An underpants-type disposable diaper is of a size and a water absorption capacity suitable for infants 3 to 6 years old, and is capable of preventing the protrusion of the groin portion of the diaper in use so that leakage does not occur. The leakage can be avoided by increasing the size and the water absorption capacity of the diaper main body to a level suitable for infants 3 to 6 year olds still using diaper and at the same time improving the tracks of a plurality of elastic members disposed along the peripheral edges of leg holes so as to reduce the elasticity in the vertical direction of the crotch section and prevent the protrusion of an infant's groin.

Underpants-type disposable diaper

A disposable absorbent wearing article having an absorbent chassis and an annular elasticized waist panel. The elastic waist panel includes a front waist panel and a rear waist panel. A rear waist panel has a dimension in a longitudinal direction that is greater than that of the front waist panel and further includes a first elasticized region, a second elasticized region defining a waist band and a third elasticized region located toward a crotch region of the article. Tensile stress of the third elasticized region, as measured in a transverse direction, is less than the tensile stress of the first and second elasticized regions.

Disposable absorbent wearing article

A disposable diaper having a front waist region including elasticized regions extending at least in the transverse direction Y, wherein the elasticized regions comprise a first elasticized region defined between a waist-opening peripheral edge and a front end flap of the absorbent chassis so as to extend in the transverse direction Y. A second elasticized region is defined adjacent the first elasticized region so as to extend in the transverse direction Y, and a pair of third elasticized regions are defined adjacent the second elasticized region and spaced from and opposed to in the transverse direction Y on both sides of a non-elasticized region formed in a transverse middle of the front waist region. The second elasticized region extends across the front flap of the absorbent chassis.

Disposable diaper

A stretchable composite sheet used in a waist region of a disposable wearing article. The stretchable composite sheet has a stretchable sheet and a non-stretchable sheet, and the stretchable sheet is stretched. Nip roll mechanisms are respectively arranged on one end side in the stretch direction (SD) and the other end side, and the stretchable sheet is bonded to the non-stretchable sheet by the nip roll mechanisms with the stretchable sheet contracted in the direction (CD) orthogonal to the stretching direction (SD). The above processes provide the stretchable composite sheet with basic weight change regions in which the basis weight of the stretchable sheet is changed depending on stretch conditions of the stretchable sheet. The basic weight of the basic weight change regions is greater than that of a center region of the stretchable composite sheet.

Stretchable composite sheet and disposable wearing article using the same

A disposable wearing article has a first surface and a second surface. The second surface is provided with a tape fastener attached thereto. The tape fastener may be folded so as to be unfoldable in a longitudinal direction and includes a first tape strip and a second tape strip underlying the first tape strip. The first tape strip has a free end zone and a first end zone and is adhesively attached to the second tape strip. The second tape strip has a fixed end zone secured to the second surface and a second end zone. The first end zone of the first tape strip has an extension that extends beyond the second end zone of the second tape strip and is adhesively attached to the second surface either directly or via a third tape strip of the tape fastener.

Disposable wearing article provided with tape fasteners

A disposable pull-on diaper includes front and rear waist regions and a pair of tape fasteners secured to an outer surface of the front waist region or the rear waist region. A tape member forming each of the tape fasteners has a distal end portion and a proximal end portion wherein the distal end portion is releasably attached to joining zones along which the front and rear waist regions are joined together.

Disposable pull-on diaper and process for making the same

In a process for making disposable diapers, a first web is continuously fed in its longitudinal direction. Tape fastener members extending in the longitudinal direction are fed to the first web so as to straddle respective lines corresponding to the side edges of the respective backsheets. Each of the tape fastener members has its longitudinally opposite end portions folded in a Z-shape or an inverted Z-shape. Top sections of these Z-shape and inverted Z-shape are coated on their undersides with a first self adhesive and bottom sections of these Z-shape and inverted Z-shape are coated on their undersides with a second self-adhesive. The tape fastener member is bonded to the first web by means of the second self-adhesive. The first web and the tape fastener members are simultaneously cut along the lines.
