According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display area, a peripheral area, a pixel electrode disposed, a switching element, a scanning line, a signal line, a metal layer which overlaps at least one of the signal line and the scanning line, an antireflection layer which covers the metal layer, a common electrode which covers the antireflection layer and a power supply line disposed in the peripheral area, to which a common voltage is supplied. The common electrode and the metal layer are connected to the power supply line in the peripheral area.

According to one embodiment, a liquid crystal display device includes first and second substrates and a liquid crystal layer. The first substrate includes scanning line extending in a first direction, signal line extending in a second direction, pixel electrodes including and a common electrode. The common electrode includes sub-electrodes extending in the first or second direction. Each of the sub-electrodes includes a first portion having a width greater than the scanning or signal line, and a second portion having a width less than the first portion but greater than the scanning or signal line. The first and second portions are alternately arranged along a direction in which the sub-electrodes extend.

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a base, a switching element disposed above the base, a scanning line which supplies a scanning signal to the switching element, an organic insulating layer covering the switching element and having a contact hole, a pixel electrode disposed above the organic insulating layer and connected to the switching element through the contact hole, and a metal line disposed above the organic insulating layer and extending parallel to the scanning line. The scanning line, the metal line and the contact hole overlap each other in planar view.

A fuel injection valve according to the present invention has an expanded portion formed in a first injection-hole plate on an upstream side, thereby allowing positional misalignment between injection-hole portions. As a result, a radial dimension between an inner diameter-side circumferential edge of an upstream-side injection hole outlet portion and an inner diameter-side circumferential edge of a downstream-side injection hole inlet portion is not required. Thus, a plate thickness of a second injection-hole plate on a downstream side can be kept to minimum. As a result, weldability between an injection-hole plate body and a valve seat is improved.

A fuel injection valve includes: a holder which accommodates a valve body, has a surface magnetically facing the outer periphery of an armature, and is joined to a core; a housing which is press-fitted onto the outer periphery of the holder and accommodates a coil; and a cap which covers the fuel upstream side of the coil in a lid shape and is press-fitted onto the outer periphery of the core. The lower surface of the cap is brought into contact with the upper end surface of the housing in a radially slidable state and then an outer peripheral portion of a contact surface between the cap and the housing is joined by laser welding.

In a fuel injection valve, a bobbin includes a bobbin main body serving as a part around which a coil is wound, and a terminal housing portion projecting upward from a part of a circumferential direction of the bobbin main body. The terminal housing portion is exposed to the exterior of a cap. A terminal is inserted into the terminal housing portion and electrically connected to the coil. A gap is provided between the core and a housing portion inner surface serving as a core side surface of the terminal housing portion. Resin used to form the connector mold penetrates the gap.

When injection-hole inlets and injection-hole outlets are projected vertically onto an X-Y plane (N) perpendicular to a valve-seat axial center, an injection-hole arrangement angle (&#x3b8;), which is formed by a straight line (a) passing through a center of the injection-hole inlet of a reference injection hole and the valve-seat axial center and a straight line (b) passing through a center of the injection-hole inlet of the injection hole neighboring the reference injection hole and the valve-seat axial center on the plane (N), is set so as to become smaller as being closer to a Y-axis. A fuel turn angle (&#x3b1;) on a wide-angle side, which is formed by the straight line (a) and a straight line (c) passing through a center of the injection-hole inlet and a center of the injection-hole outlet on the plane (N), has a relationship: 90&#xb0;&#x3c;&#x3b1;&#x3c;180&#xb0;.

A fuel injection valve that promotes formation of thin membranes of fuel within injection holes and promotes atomization of spray is obtained. Holes provided in an injection hole plateare combined injection holesformed by partially overlapping two or more single injection holesfrom an upstream side to a downstream side of the injection hole plate, each of the single injection holes is a circular hole, the single injection hole has an injection hole angle &#x3b1; defined by a tilt angle of a center axis line connecting an entrance part center and an exit part center relative to a plate thickness direction of the injection hole plate, areas of exit partsare larger than areas of entrance partsin the combined injection holesand the combined injection holesare formed by press working.

At the downstream-side face of an injection hole plate, a plurality of concaves are arranged corresponding to a plurality of injection holes; at least part of an injection hole outlet opens at the plain of the concave; the rest of the outlet opens at the downstream side face of the injection hole plate or contacts the inner surface of the concave. In a flow path formed by the injection hole, there is provided a cylindrical portion, whose cross section is the radially minimum cross section of the injection hole, from the upstream side face of the injection hole plate to the plain of the concave. Where Ddenotes the diameter of the injection hole and Ddenotes the diameter of the concave or the diameter of the concave in the circumferential direction of the virtual circle, the relationship 1.1&#x3c;(D/D)&#x3c;3.0 is satisfied.
