An evaluation method for an image stabilization effect of an imaging apparatus comprising: acquiring a first image obtained by imaging an object in a state in which the imaging apparatus is vibrated; acquiring a second image obtained by imaging the object in a state in which the imaging apparatus is stationary; and calculating an evaluation value indicating an image stabilization effect in a peripheral region of the imaging apparatus, based on a difference in blur amounts between the first image and the second image in the peripheral region deviated from the center of an optical axis.

In an imaging device, a first motion information acquisition unit acquires motion information of the imaging device, and a second motion information acquisition unit acquires motion information of an external device. A shake information generation unit performs a process of subtracting the motion information of the external device from the motion information of the imaging device on the basis of the acquired motion information of the imaging device and the external device. Image blur correction information is generated from the subtracted motion information. An image blur correction control unit performs driving control of a correction lens of an optical system and a movement mechanism unit of an imaging element in accordance with the image blur correction information from the shake information generation unit.

A drive apparatus comprising a stationary frame with a coil, a movable frame with a magnetic circuit held movably in a direction orthogonal to a first direction, and a drive unit that moves the movable frame by applying electric current to the coil. The magnetic circuit is constituted by aligning a first magnet having a magnetization direction parallel to the first direction, a second magnet having a magnetization direction opposite to the first magnet, and a third magnet between the first and second magnets in a direction orthogonal to the first direction. The third magnet has a magnetization direction that has a pole in the same direction of the poles of the first and second magnets when viewed from the coil side.
