A control device for controlling a vehicle drive unit including an input member drivingly connected to an engine; an output member drivingly connected to a wheel; and a transmission device that includes engagement elements, that switches between shift speeds by control of engagement and disengagement of engagement elements, and that transmits a rotational driving force of the input member to the output member at a speed changed at a speed ratio of each of the shift speeds. The control device includes a control unit that controls the transmission device to achieve a one-way transmission speed in a running idle state in which a vehicle is running while the rotational driving force of the input member is not transmitted to the output member and a rotational speed of the engine is controlled to a predetermined idle speed. The transmission device has, as one of the shift speeds, the one-way transmission speed at which the rotational driving force from the input member to the output member is transmitted but the rotational driving force from the output member to the input member is not transmitted.

Vehicle control device and vehicle drive system

A vehicle drive apparatus includes a case main body portion accommodating the speed change mechanism; supply oil passages that are formed in the case main body portion and supply pressure oil to the speed change mechanism; a connection case portion connecting the engine and the case main body portion; a mechanical oil pump positioned in a connection region between the case main body portion and the connection case portion and having an inlet oil passage and an outlet oil passage which are connected to the supply oil passage; an electric oil pump capable of supplying pressure oil to the supply oil passages in parallel with the mechanical oil pump; and connection oil passages that are provided in the connection case portion and allow an inlet oil passage and an outlet oil passage of the electric oil pump to communicate with the supply oil passages.

A vehicle control device where, the transmission apparatus is provided with a state in which the rotational driving force is not transmitted from the output member to the input member when a first engaging element is engaged; the vehicle control device is provided with a control unit that controls the transmission apparatus to engage the first engaging element by a hydraulic pressure from the electric pump for implementing the state in an idle stop state in which the vehicle is in a moving state and the engine is stopped; in a case where a travel speed of the vehicle is not greater than a predetermined release threshold value, the first engaging element is engaged by the hydraulic pressure from the electric pump; and in a case where the travel speed of the vehicle is greater than the predetermined release threshold value, all of the engaging elements are released.
