Provided is a rotary electric machine, including a pair of frames each including a cylindrical part, the cylindrical part having a fitting groove formed in an axial end portion, the pair of frames holding a stator core in an axial direction under a state in which both axial end portions of the stator core are each fitted in the fitting groove, the fitting groove having an axial surface having an annular shape opposed to an axial end surface of the stator core and a radial surface having a cylindrical shape opposed to an outer peripheral surface of the stator core, the radial surface having a recessed part recessed toward a radially outer side in a portion on the axial surface side, the cylindrical part having an inner peripheral surface opposed to a coil end, the inner peripheral surface having a large diameter part recessed toward the radially outer side.

Rotary electric machine

A vehicle AC power generator includes a protection cover disposed at the rear side of a rear bracket included in a housing of the vehicle AC power generator, an attachment bolt that penetrates a through-hole formed in a bottom portion of a protection cover and is fixed to a portion at one axle-direction side of the housing, an output terminal bolt that extends from a rectifier, which rectifies AC electric power, toward the outside of one axle-direction side of the protection cover, and an insert coated conductor that is supported by the output terminal bolt and the attachment bolt and is provided at the rear surface of the protection cover.

In this rectifying apparatus, a circuit board is disposed between a first rectifying element holding portion and a second rectifying element holding portion such that first rectifying element connecting portions are disposed in a loosely fitted state inside a second penetrating aperture that is formed on the second rectifying element holding portion, and second rectifying element connecting portions are disposed in a loosely fitted state inside a first penetrating aperture that is formed on the first rectifying element holding portion; first leading electrodes of a plurality of first rectifying elements respectively extend axially and are connected to each of the first rectifying element connecting portions; and second leading electrodes of a plurality of second rectifying elements respectively extend axially and are connected to each of the second rectifying element connecting portions.

Automotive alternator

Adverse effects of a large assembling step comparable to tolerance of stacking members among constituent parts are prevented. At least two components and, among a voltage regulator, a brush holder and a rectifier, that are fastened with each other are provided with both component-fixing portions and fastening-together portions and for fastening the components together with each other, and an assembling step absorbing portion is provided at least at the fastening-together portion that is not close to the component-fixing portions of the respective components.

Vehicular AC generator

An in-vehicle device includes: a terminal to which a vehicle-side connector is connected; a hood portion surrounding the terminal; a protection cover functioning with a purpose of holding or protecting constituent components of the in-vehicle device; and a damper mechanical portion formed integrally with the protection cover and installed on a periphery of the hood portion. The damper mechanical portion has an cuter wall portion linked to a base portion of the protection cover and an inner wall portion spaced apart from an outer surface of the hood portion and held on an inner side of the outer wall portion.

In-vehicle device

Provided is a vehicle AC generator which enables the common use of components and the use of the same molding die for molded bodies to enable a significant reduction in fabrication cost. The vehicle AC generator includes a molded body (). On one surface side of the molded body, a capacitor body () including a capacitor element built therein is electrically connected to an insert conductor. On another surface side of the molded body, a resistor () is electrically connected to the insert conductor only when a device main body is provided outside of the AC generator, and the device main body is electrically connected to the insert conductor only when the device main body is provided in the AC generator.

AC generator

It is configured in such a manner that a convex portion () provided to an inner surface of a cover () protecting a rectifier device () and a voltage regulator () as components forming a vehicle AC alternator is fit in a concave portion () provided to a component opposing the inner surface of the cover in close proximity and that the fitting configuration is provided to a point-symmetric position with respect to an external connection terminal (Tb or) of the components protruding from inside to outside of the cover.

Alternator for vehicle

A voltage regulator negative electrode terminal is mounted to an axially outer end surface of a rear bracket so as to be in a state of electrical connection with the rear bracket by fastening a flange portion to a mounting pedestal of the rear bracket using a voltage regulator fixing second screw. A screw loosening restricting lug is disposed so as to project from a floor portion of a protective cover so as to face the voltage regulator fixing second screw so as to have a predetermined clearance in an axial direction.

A brushless alternator includes: a rotor mounted on a shaft; a ring-shaped yoke which is opposed to the rotor via a very narrow radial clearance; a stepped portion provided on a side surface of an inner circumference of an axial end section of the yoke; a plate fixed to the stepped portion and having a cylindrical portion made of a magnetic material; a bobbin provided so as to surround a radially outer side of the cylindrical portion of the plate for the purpose of winding a field coil therearound; and a stator provided with a clearance retained on an outer side of the rotor, wherein a radial thickness of a part of the cylindrical portion which is fixed to the stepped portion provided on the inner circumferential surface of the yoke is set larger than 1 mm and not larger than 2 mm.

Brushless alternator

An alternator includes: a rotor fixed to a shaft so as to rotate with the shaft; a stator disposed so as to surround the rotor, an alternating current being generated in the stator by a rotating magnetic field from the rotor; and a voltage control apparatus for adjusting magnitude of an output voltage of the alternating current generated in the stator, wherein: the voltage control apparatus includes: a grounded, electrically-conductive heat sink; and a control main body fixed to the heat sink, the control main body including an integrated circuit chip on which a circuit for controlling the output voltage is formed. As a result, parts are reduced in number, reducing manufacturing costs.

Alternator voltage control apparatus

A stator includes: an annular stator core in which a plurality of slots opening radially inward are formed circumferentially; and a stator winding installed in the stator core. A sheet-shaped varnish supporting member is disposed so as to be placed in close contact with a radially-outermost surface of a coil end group of the stator winding around an entire circumference, and a varnish is applied to the coil end group from radially inside.

An IC regulator for controlling an alternator by changing contents of control in dependence on ambient temperature includes a control voltage limiter (), a field current controller (), a temperature sensor (), a first comparator () for comparing the ambient temperature (T) with an activation temperature (TP) and a reset temperature (TS), and a second comparator () for comparing the ambient temperature (T) with a second activation temperature (TP). The first comparator () outputs a limiter control signal (C) when the ambient temperature (T) exceeds the first activation temperature (TP) while resetting the limiter control when the temperature (T) becomes lower than the first reset temperature (TS). The second comparator () outputs a field current interrupt signal (C) when the ambient temperature (T) exceeds a second activation temperature (TP) while resetting the signal (C) when the temperature (T) becomes lower than the second activation temperature (TP).

Generator control apparatus

An annular stepped portion is formed at a first end of an inner circumferential surface of a thick ring-shaped second yoke portion, a second axial end portion of a cylindrical portion of a plate is fitted inside so as to overlap with the stepped portion in a radial direction, and the cylindrical portion of the plate is integrated with the second yoke portion by welding in the radially-overlapping region.
