A heat-laminatable composite film obtained by providing, in sequence, a layer of a mixture of (B) a reactive polyurethane containing isocyanate groups therein and (C) a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer on one surface of a film of (A) a saponified product of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, or, Layer (B) and further Layer (C) on one surface of the film of (A). A laminated material obtained by heat-laminating the composite film onto at least one surface of a plasticized polyvinyl chloride layer. The heat-laminatable composite film of the present invention is excellent in blocking resistance and adhesive strength. Further by heat-laminating the composite film onto the plasticized polyvinyl chloride layer, bleeding of the plasticizer in the polyvinyl chloride layer can be prevented.

Heat-laminating composite film and laminated material using the same

A resinous composition which comprises (A) 95 to 50 parts by weight of a saponified product of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and (B) 5 to 50 parts by weight of a product formed by modifying ethylene-vinyl carboxylate ester copolymer or ethylene-acrylate ester copolymer with an .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated carboxylic acid or anhydride thereof. This resinous composition can be made by melt extrusion into a molded article which is superior in impact resistance to that formed from the component (A) alone. The resinous composition can also be made into an inner layer or interlayer of a laminated container. This container is suitable for bottles of foods and agricultural chemicals because of its outstanding impact resistance, organic solvent resistance, and oxygen barrier properties.

Resinous composition and molded article and container made thereof

A resinous composition composed of a thermoplastic resin, a saponified product of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, and a low-molecular salt or oxide containing at least one element selected from Groups I to III of the Periodic Table. The composition provides molded items which are free of fish eyes and superior in gas barrier properties.

A gas barrier multilayer packaging material having excellent flexing endurance, which comprises a thin layer of a saponified product of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer as an intermediate layer and linear low-density polyethylene layers as inner and outer layers. This packaging material is especially useful as inner containers for a bag-in-box or bag-in-carton.

Gas barrier multilayer packaging material having excellent flexing

An ethylene-vinylalcohol copolymer film is prepared by biaxially or multiaxially stretching a nonstretched ethylene-vinylalcohol polymer film having a moisture content of not more than 3.5%, said ethylenevinyl alcohol copolymer having an ethylene content of 20 to 55 mole % and a saponification degree of not less than 96 mole % and said stretching being conducted within a temperature range of 50.degree. to 150.degree. C. to such an extent that the film is expanded to an area 4 to 20 times the original area.
