An arc-extinguishing system for a contact switching apparatus having a plurality pieces of grid plate for arc extinction arranged outside the contact switching apparatus so as to be substantially vertical to a movable contact, and an arc box as well as an arc cover for covering the contact switching apparatus as well as arc-extinguishing grid plates, in which a thin-plate rib extending in a direction of an array of the arc-extinguishing grid plates is provided on the arc cover made of resin having elasticity, and the arc-extinguishing grid plates are fixed to the thin-plate rib by being pressed against end surfaces of the arc-extinguishing grid plates through connecting of the arc box to the arc cover.

A terminal cover for electrical equipment has two pieces of substantially U-shaped elastic engaging piece section each with an outer edge thereof integrally connected to the terminal cover and the other edge in the inner side thereof coupled to that of the other one with a bridging piece section provided therein, counter claw sections are formed on the two pieces of elastic engaging piece section respectively, and the terminal cover is fixed to a frame of equipment by engaging the counter claw sections in recesses for engagement formed on the frame of the equipment respectively.

Terminal cover for electrical equipment

A magnetic coil, a magnetic contactor using the magnetic coil and a method for manufacturing the magnetic coil are disclosed wherein the magnetic coil does not need increased winding space and can be configured as having two coil terminals protruding in only one direction or as having three coil terminals. A three terminal-type magnetic contactor which uses the magnetic coil does not require an increased amount of space for the winding process, and the size of the three terminal version is reduced while still meeting insulation requirements. The magnetic coil maintains reliable electrical connection even when subjected to mechanical vibration.
