An evaluating apparatus is provided with: a first acquirer configured to obtain a feature value indicating driving behavior of a driver; a classifier configured to classify a plurality of feature values obtained from a plurality of drivers, into a plurality of groups; a second acquirer configured to obtain the feature value that is representative in each of the plurality of groups, as a representative feature value; a ranking device configured to give a rank corresponding to a driving carefulness degree, to each of the plurality of groups, on the basis of the representative feature value; and a determinator configured to determine a driver type corresponding to the driving carefulness degree of the driver, on the basis of a rank of a group into which the feature value of the driver is classified.

Evaluating apparatus

A map information provision system includes: a road map information database configured to store road map information; a vehicle position determination unit configured to detect and determine a position of a vehicle on a road; a road map information extraction unit configured to extract the road map information around the vehicle from the road map information database, based on the position of the vehicle; and a waypoint map constructor unit configured to determine positions of waypoints and configure a waypoint map that is made up of the plurality of the waypoints, wherein the waypoint map is supplied to a driving support device for the vehicle or a driving control device for the vehicle and is utilized as map information on the planned driving route.

Map information provision system

A map generation system includes a server configured to: transfer reference curved road constituent points onto a measurement target curved road as virtual constituent points arranged along the measurement target curved road adjacent to the reference curved road; acquire virtual trajectory curvature information based on positions of the virtual constituent points; acquire detailed curve information of the measurement target curved road by acquiring, based on a position of a start point of the measurement target curved road preset in the road map information, travel information of a vehicle traveling on the measurement target curved road, and the virtual trajectory curvature information, measurement target curved road constituent points arranged at preset intervals from the start point along the measurement target curved road, and associating the virtual trajectory curvature information with each of the measurement target curved road constituent points; and generate a map by acquiring the second detailed curve information.

Map generation system

A crosswalk marking estimating device includes: circuitry configured to: create a planar-view road surface image of a road around a vehicle; acquire end candidates which are candidates for ends of the bands, included in a crosswalk marking, in the planar-view road surface image based on the planar-view road surface image and a template image which is stored in advance; select a plurality of selected end candidates which is a set of the end candidates corresponding to an edge on the one side, in the road extending direction, of the crosswalk marking from a distribution of the end candidates in the road extending direction in the planar-view road surface image; and estimate a position of the edge of the crosswalk marking relative to the vehicle based on the selected end candidates.

Crosswalk marking estimating device

An evaluating apparatus is configured to evaluate a risk that exists in surroundings of a road on which a vehicle travels. The evaluating apparatus is provided with: a first determinator configured to determine a first risk value indicating an extent of a risk in one section of the road, on the basis of a feature value indicating driving behavior of a driver of the vehicle; a second determinator configured to determine a second risk value indicating an extent of a risk in the one section, on the basis of surrounding information about the surroundings of the road; and an acquirer configured to obtain reliability of the second risk value, by evaluating the second risk value by using the first risk value.
