A radiation-curable ink jet composition used in an ink jet printing apparatus including an ink jet head using a material with an SP value of 7.0 (J/cm)to 8.0 (J/cm)in a flow path is provided. The radiation-curable ink jet composition contains polymerizable monomers A including at least one polymerizable monomer B with an SP value of 7.0 (J/cm)or less or 8.0 (J/cm)or more and at least one polymerizable monomer C with an SP value of more than 7.0 (J/cm)to less than 8.0 (J/cm). A radiation-curable ink jet composition includes inorganic particles, a coloring material, and a polymerizable compound. The polymerizable compound contains a monofunctional monomer. A radiation-curable ink jet composition contains a polymerizable compound, a white pigment, and inorganic particles different from the white pigment. The polymerizable compound includes a monofunctional polymerizable compound.
