Liquid discharge head

There is provided a liquid discharge head including a piezoelectric body having a plurality of individual electrodes and a first common electrode, and a plurality of conductor layers. The plurality of individual electrodes have first to fourth individual electrode arrays, and the first common electrode has first and second extending portions, a plurality of first projecting portions, and a plurality of second projecting portions. Each of the first projecting portions overlaps partially with one of the plurality of individual electrodes forming the second individual electrode array along the stacking direction, and each of the second projecting portions overlaps partially with one of the plurality of individual electrodes forming the third individual electrode array along the stacking direction. The plurality of conductor layers are formed between the plurality of first projecting portions and the plurality of second projecting portions, without contacting the first common electrode and without contacting each other.

There is provided an ink-jet head including: first and second head chips each formed with two first nozzle arrays extending in a first direction, each of the first nozzle arrays including first nozzles corresponding to a first ink, second nozzles corresponding to a second ink, and third nozzles corresponding to a third ink; third and fourth head chips each formed with two third nozzle arrays extending in the first direction, each of the third nozzle arrays including fourth nozzles corresponding to the fourth ink. The first head chip to the fourth head chip are arranged in parallel in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction.

Liquid jetting apparatus and method for manufacturing liquid jetting apparatus

A liquid discharge apparatus is provided, which comprises a channel substrate formed with a plurality of first and second pressure chambers disposed in a first direction, a plurality of first and second individual electrodes, a piezoelectric film, a common electrode, and first traces. The first traces are connected to exposed portions of the first individual electrodes exposed from the piezoelectric film, and each of the first traces passes from the exposed portion between the two second individual electrodes to extend to the one side in the second direction. A cutout, which is cut out from the one side in the second direction, is formed so that the cutout is not overlapped with the first trace between portions of the common electrode opposed to the two adjoining second individual electrodes. The first trace is formed continuously from the exposed portion to an upper surface of the piezoelectric film.

Liquid discharge apparatus and method for producing piezoelectric actuator

A liquid discharge apparatus is provided, comprising a channel structure; a piezoelectric actuator which has a plurality of individual electrodes, a common electrode, and a piezoelectric layer sandwiched between the individual electrodes and the common electrode; and a driving device which drives the piezoelectric actuator. The driving device outputs an individual driving signal which causes a change of an electric potential of the individual electrode, to the individual electrode corresponding to the nozzle for discharging the liquid. Further, the driving device outputs a common driving signal which causes a change of an electric potential of the common electrode in synchronization with the change of the electric potential of the individual electrode into which the individual driving signal is inputted, to the common electrode.
