A large-current terminal () includes a male terminal () having a male-side contact surface (), a female terminal () having a female-side contact surface (), a coil spring () including male-side contacts () for contacting the male-side contact surface () and female-side contacts () for contacting the female-side contact surface (). A spring holder () holds the coils spring () and includes male-side and female-side openings () for exposing the male-side and female-side contacts (). The coil spring () is compressed in a facing direction of the contact surfaces () by disposing the male-side contact surface () to face both the female-side contact surface () and the male-side openings () with the female-side contact surface () directed toward the female-side openings (). The spring holder () is movable such that the female-side opening () approaches the female-side contact surface () as the coil spring () is compressed.

Large current terminal and connector

A terminal module includes an electrical contact having a body () configured to face a butting portion () on a mating terminal, oriented such that a coil axis (P) is parallel to the body () of the electrical contact member and configured to be sandwiched between the mating terminal and the electrical contact () to be tilted toward the coil axis (P) when the mating terminal and the electrical contact () approach. At least one of a facing surface () on the body () of the electrical contact () on which the obliquely wound coil spring () slides and a contact surface () on the butting portion () of the mating terminal on which the obliquely wound coil spring () slides is formed into an uneven surface for increasing frictional resistance during sliding.

Terminal module

A connector (C) includes a flat terminal (), an obliquely wound coil spring () wound around a winding axis (A) that is parallel to the terminal () with the coil spring () sandwiched between the terminal () and a flat mating terminal (). A connector housing () accommodates the terminal () and the coil spring () and includes an insertion path () for the mating terminal () to be parallel to the terminal (). A rotation restricting portion () is in the connector housing () and restricts the coil spring () in a rotation posture to tilt with respect to the winding axis (A) such that a mating terminal side of a half-turn winding plane and a straight line connecting a start point (P) and an end point (P) of the half turn is on a back side in an inserting direction of the mating terminal ().
