A rotor includes a laminated core, a plurality of magnets, and a resin portion. The laminated core includes a plurality of outer core portions arranged in a circumferential direction. The plurality of outer core portions and the plurality of magnets are alternately arranged in the circumferential direction. In addition, the outer core portion includes a through-hole that penetrates in an axial direction. The resin portion includes a columnar portion that is disposed inside the through-hole. Accordingly, the rigidity of the resin portion is enhanced. In addition, the resin portion includes a gate mark portion. At least a portion of the gate mark portion is positioned farther radially inward than the through-hole.

Rotor and manufacturing process of rotor

An electric motor includes a rotating portion that rotates around a rotational axis and a stationary portion. The rotating portion includes a shaft and a rotor. The stationary portion includes a cover portion, a stator, and a connector including a connection terminal. The connection terminal includes a base portion that extends along a first direction, and a pressing portion that is bent to overlap with the base portion in an axial direction. A conductive line which is drawn from a coil is disposed between the base portion and the pressing portion, and the connection terminal and the conductive line contact each other and are welded in a state of overlapping with each other in an axial direction.

Motor

A laminated core of a rotor includes an inner core portion and a plurality of outer core portions. The inner core portion axially extends in a cylindrical shape in a region located more radially inward than magnets. The outer core portions are arranged in a circumferential direction in a region located more radially outward than the inner core portion. The plurality of outer core portions and a plurality of the magnets are alternately arranged in the circumferential direction. Accordingly, magnetic flux generated from a pair of magnetic pole surfaces of the plurality of magnets can be effectively used. In addition, the laminated core includes caulking portions in each of the inner core portion and the plurality of outer core portions. Accordingly, a plurality of thin plate cores are firmly fixed.

Rotor

A motor includes a sensor magnet having a non-circular contour and a magnet cover fixed to an end portion of a shaft to cover the end portion of the shaft. The magnet cover includes a support portion positioned outside the end surface of the end portion of the shaft. In the support portion, a magnet hole having a non-circular cross section as the sensor magnet and extending in the direction of the rotation axis is provided. The sensor magnet is inserted into the magnet hole and fixed to the magnet hole.

A pump motor includes a stator, a rotor and a housing accommodating the stator and the rotor. The stator has a plurality of teeth, each of the teeth being provided with a cap portion at its tip end. The rotor is arranged inside the stator in an opposing relationship with the cap portion of each of the teeth. The housing includes a fluid path defined therein. The fluid path includes a substantially annular gap axially extending between the stator and the rotor. The cap portion includes a first opposing surface and a second opposing surface provided in an opposing relationship with the rotor to define a portion of the fluid path, the distance between the first opposing surface and an outer circumferential surface of the rotor being greater than the distance between the second opposing surface and the outer circumferential surface of the rotor.
