A multifunction pen is provided including a refill for a writing implement such as a ballpoint pen on a tip end side and including an electromagnetic induction-based electromagnetic induction refill on a rear end side such that there is no need to perform a switching operation between the writing refill and the electromagnetic induction refill. The multifunction pen includes a shaft tubeincluding openings at both of a tip end and a rear end, a writing refillthat is housed inside the shaft tubeand that includes a writing tip exposed through the opening at the tip end, and an electromagnetic induction refillthat is housed inside the shaft tube, that is exposed through the opening at the rear end, and that is employed in electromagnetic induction-based input.

Multifunction pen

A multifunction pen includes plural refills including an electromagnetic induction touch pen. A knock operation to one of knock rods each of which is connected to a rear end of each of the plural refills causes a tip of one refill of the plural refills to move from a standby position in which the tip stays inside a shaft tube to an in-use position in which the tip projects from a tip end opening of the shaft tube. At least one refill from writing refills other than the electromagnetic induction touch pen is provided with a metal writing tip, and a tip of the electromagnetic induction touch pen at the in-use position is separated from the tips of the writing refills at the standby position by a distance such that electromagnetic induction by the electromagnetic induction touch pen is not affected by the tips of the writing refills.

An input touch pen includes a digitizer refill contained inside a shaft tube and including a contact tip and a stepped tip portion rearward thereof, and a knock member protruding from an opening at a rear end of the shaft tube. The contact tip can protrude and retract through an opening at a tip end of the shaft tube. The stepped tip portion has a larger diameter than the opening at the tip end. A relationship A&#x3e;X&#x3e;Y is satisfied, wherein X represents a knock stroke of the digitizer refill, A a distance from the stepped tip portion to an inner surface at the tip end side when the contact tip is sunken inside the opening, and Y a distance that the contact tip is moved by operation of the knock member from a state of protruding from the opening to a state of being sunken inside the opening.

Input touch pen

A handwriting input device configured to obtain hand-written data of an electronic pen on a coordinate detection surface of a coordinate input device by an electromagnetic induction effect of the coordinate input device and the electronic pen. The electronic pen includes a first resonance circuit including a coil, a capacitor, and a core, a mechanical pencil unit configured to perform writing on a paper sheet placed on the coordinate detection surface, and a writing pressure detecting portion configured to detect a writing pressure such that a part of the mechanical pencil unit is pushed by receiving the writing pressure applied to a lead projecting from a distal end of the mechanical pencil unit. The detection of the writing pressure causes the coordinate input device to obtain the hand-written data corresponding to a handwriting on the paper sheet while writing is performed on the paper sheet with the electronic pen.

Handwriting input device

The present invention is a chuck body () provided with: a hollow, substantially cylindrical fastener () having a tapered inner surface () in which the diameter of the hole gradually changes along the axial direction; and a chuck () having a divided end part () divided into two or three, the divided end part () having a tapered outer surface () that can enter or exit from the fastener () and that comes into contact with the tapered inner surface () of the fastener () when entering the fastener (). When the divided end part () of the chuck () closes in the fastener () and holds the core (), the angle of the tapered outer surface () of the chuck () relative to the center axis line of the chuck () is substantially identical to the angle of the tapered inner surface () of the fastener ().

Chuck body and mechanical pencil

Provided is a writing instrument or an applicator using resin parts formed, by way of two-color molding, to have an optimal guiding clearance between slide members. A plurality of resin molded parts is included. At least one of the plurality of resin molded parts is formed as a primary molding, and at least another one of the resin molded parts is formed as a secondary molding, by way of two-color molding, using a portion of a surface of the primary molding. The primary molding and the secondary molding are separated to be used as independent members. In this case, the primary molding and the secondary molding are preferably configured to slide against each other by each separating portion.

Writing instrument or applicator having resin molded parts

A mechanical pencil having a rotational drive mechanism which gradually rotates a writing lead on application of writing pressure and allowing rotational operation of the writing lead to be known reliably. First and second cam facesandare respectively formed at one end face and the other end face of a rotorin an axial direction, and first and second fixed cam facesandarranged on the body cylinder side so as to respectively face the first and the second cam faces are provided to form the rotational drive mechanism for the writing lead. A plurality of groovesin the axial direction are formed at a sliderof a pipe endwhich projects forwardly from a body cylinder. Therefore, the user can see the grooves(provided for the slider) rotated by rotation of the rotor

Mechanical pencil

A writing lead () is grasped and released by reciprocation of a chuck () provided in a body cylinder () so as to inch the writing lead forward and a rotational drive mechanism is provided for rotationally driving a rotor () in one direction in conjunction with retreat operation by the writing pressure applied to the writing lead and forward movement by releasing the writing pressure. A pipe support member () for supporting a pipe end () is accommodated in a base (A) which constitutes a front end portion of the body cylinder, and a retreat drive mechanism is provided for gradually retreating the pipe support member into the body cylinder in conjunction with rotational drive operation of the rotor. With the above-mentioned structure, a pipe-slide type mechanical pencil can maintain an amount of projection of the writing lead from the pipe end within a certain range.

A chuck unit () for grasping a writing lead () and a rotor () arranged to be movable in a direction of rotation and an axial direction within a body cylinder () are provided. First and second cam faces () and () are respectively formed at one end face and another end face of the rotor in the axial direction, and first and second fixed cam faces () and () are arranged on the body cylinder side to face the first and second cam faces respectively. The first cam face in the rotor is brought into abutment with and meshed with the first fixed cam face by retreat operation of the chuck unit under writing pressure, and the second cam face in the rotor is brought into abutment with and meshed with the second fixed cam face by releasing the writing pressure, so that the rotor rotates, whereby the writing lead also rotates.

A method of moulding a composite member and a composite member are provided in which a convex part can be formed at one member by moulding the other member integrally to the one member. A concave partis provided at least at a part inside a metal mouldlocated on the side opposite the second member fusion bonding surface side of the above-mentioned first member, the above-mentioned second thermoplastic material is melted and ejected to the second member fusion bonding surface side of the first member, the first memberis changed in shape by injection pressure of the melted second thermoplastic material, and a convex partis formed at the first member.

Method of moulding composite member, and composite member

A chuck () for grasping a writing lead and a rotor () arranged to be movable in a direction of rotation and an axial direction within a body cylinder (). By axial movement of the rotor in conjunction with writing operation, the rotor rotates and the writing lead is also subjected to rotational movement. The writing lead can be inched out of the chuck by way of knock operation of the knock cover () arranged at a rear end port ion of the body cylinder. A separation part having a gap (G) is formed at any location along a knock operation transmitting path between the above-mentioned knock cover and the above-mentioned chuck, the separation part transmits the above-mentioned knock operation to the above-mentioned chuck and inhibits rotation operation from being transmitted.

A chuck () for grasping a writing lead and a rotor () arranged to be movable together in a direction of rotation and an axial direction within a body cylinder (). A rotational drive mechanism for the writing lead is formed such that first and second cam faces () and () are respectively formed at one end face and another end face of the rotor in the axial direction, and first and second fixed cam faces () and () are arranged on the body cylinder side to face the above-mentioned first and second cam faces respectively. Retreat operation and forward movement (cushion action) of the writing lead by writing pressure are provided with a damping effect by sticky grease () interposed between a stopper () and a torque canceller (). As a result, a sense of uncomforting, when writing, generated in conjunction with the cushion action can be reduced.

A chuck () for grasping a writing lead and a rotor () arranged to be movable in a direction of rotation and an axial direction within a body cylinder (). A rotational drive mechanism for the writing lead is formed such that first and second cam faces () and () are respectively formed at one end face and another end face of the rotor in the axial direction, and first and second fixed cam faces () and () are arranged on the body cylinder side to face the above-mentioned first and second cam faces respectively. A pipe end () for guiding the writing lead to interlock with retreat and forward movement of the writing lead while the writing proceeds is arranged to move in the same direction, in conjunction with retreat and forward movement of the above-mentioned chuck.

A chuck () for grasping a writing lead and a rotor () arranged to be movable in a direction of rotation and an axial direction within a body cylinder (). A rotational drive mechanism for the writing lead is formed such that first and second cam faces () and () are respectively formed at one end face and another end face of the rotor in the axial direction, and first and second fixed cam faces () and () are arranged on the body cylinder side to face the above-mentioned first and second cam faces respectively. An indicator () of a wedge-shaped notch is formed at a part of the rotor. The indicator can be observed through the body cylinder made of a transparent material. By this structure, a mechanical pencil is provided in which operation of the writing lead that is gradually rotated by way of writing pressure can be known certainly.
