A cable assembly includes a cable and a cable mounting clamp. The cable mounting clamp includes a base removably connectable to a surface. The base includes an outer body which defines an inner channel and a support ramp disposed within the inner channel, the inner channel extending along a longitudinal axis. The cable mounting clamp further includes a roller tube disposed within the inner channel and moveably mounted on the support ramp, the roller tube translatable along the longitudinal axis relative to the support ramp. The cable is inserted through the roller tube and extends through the inner channel, such that the cable is translatable with the roller tube along the longitudinal axis.

An optical fiber trunk cable breakout canister includes a main canister body, the main canister body extending between a first end opening and a second end opening and including a first end portion defining the first end opening and a second end portion defining the second end opening. The first end opening has a maximum width that is less than a maximum width of the second end opening. The breakout canister further includes a plate disposed within the second end portion. The present invention is related to a method of assembling a transition assembly and a transition assembly. The method described herein may comprise stripping a plurality of fibers at an end of a cable; splicing the plurality of fibers from the cable with a plurality of pigtails; and protecting the bare fiber with a cover. The transition assembly may comprise a fiber protection part and a cover that covers the fiber protection part. The fiber protection part may have openings.

A packaging apparatus for packaging a bundle of conductors, such as optical fibers, includes a housing having two U-shaped halves that attach to one another wherein at least one of the halves includes connecting portions that each retain a connector of the conductors. The method includes attaching the connectors of the conductors to the connecting portions of one half, gathering the conductors at a location beyond an end of the first half, and attaching the second half to the first half. The conductors extend through a conductor insertion hole formed in the housing when the two halves are attached to one another. A plurality of packaging apparatuses can be flexibly attached to one another in series.

A conductor packaging apparatus for packaging a plurality of conductors includes an outer shell having two halves, and an inner shell removably disposed between the halves of the outer shell. The inner shell has two halves and a plurality of connector attachments disposed on an inner surface of at least one of the halves of the inner shell wherein the two halves of the outer shell are movably attached to one another between a closed position in which the connector attachments are enclosed by both the inner shell and the outer shell, and an open position in which the two halves of the outer shell are apart from one another.
