A variety of active cover plate configurations with prongs configured to contact side screw terminals of electrical receptacles are described. In one illustrative embodiment, an active cover plate includes a multi-gang face plate configured to be installed over a multi-gang light switch installation, the multi-gang faceplate including at least two apertures sized to accept a manually manipulatable element of switches in the multi-gang light switch installation. Prongs extend rearward from the multi-gang faceplate around at least one of the apertures.

A stamping tool may include a base and a cover. The cover is removably affixed to the base through a hinging assembly. The base can include a first base hinge and a second base hinge substantially perpendicular to the first base hinge. The base hinges can include hinge sections. The hinge sections can include a first wall and a second wall that can be biased to define a cavity that is accessible through a channel between the first wall and the second wall. Hinge sections can be separated by one or more receptacles. The cover can include one or more hinge bars corresponding to the hinge sections on the base. The hinge bars can have an unequal aspect ratio allowing for easy insertion and removal of the cover. The cover can also include one or more protrusions separating the hinge bars. These protrusions correspond to the receptacles on the base.

A cartridge container for firearms is provided that includes a plurality of brackets coupled to an outer cover in such a way that the brackets may be readily independently removed from the outer cover. The brackets are configured to then be used to rapidly load cartridges stored in the brackets into a magazine.

A stamping tool is provided including a base and a cover. The cover is removably affixed to the base through a hinging assembly. The base can include a first base hinge and a second base hinge substantially perpendicular to the first base hinge. The base hinges can be one or more hinge sections. The cover is placed in an open position relative to the base. A stamp is adhered to the bottom surface of the cover. The article to be stamped is placed on the top surface of the base. A quantity of ink is applied to the stamp and, as the cover is placed in a closed position, the stamp is brought into contact with the article thereby stamping the article with the ink.

A trigger mechanism for semiautomatic and automatic firearms may include a trigger body having a trigger which extends rearwardly toward the back of a pistol grip so that a user may fire the weapon by pressing downwardly on the trigger with the user's thumb.

A pig receptacle is provided. The pig receptacle provides a first circular member and a second circular member attached to at least one elongated rod. The first circular member and the second circular member are sized so that they can receive a pig therethrough. A mesh cage is wrapped around the first circular member and the second circular member so that debris can be gathered during the pigging process. The mesh cage defines apertures that are sized so that large pieces of debris are held in an interior cavity formed by the mesh cage, while small pieces of debris can pass through. In this way, debris is transported through the pipeline and is not lost due to abnormalities in the flow rate through the pipeline.

In one example, a modified electrical device includes a body and at least one connector on the body to make power and control connections with an active cover plate. In some embodiments, a wall plate system may include a modified electrical device or receptacle and/or an active cover plate.

A system and method are provided for a magazine-fed, pump-action firearm. The system comprises an extruded receiver having a longitudinal bore extending along the length of the extruded receiver, where the longitudinal bore forms a first opening in the extruded receiver for receiving a barrel, and a second opening in the extruded receiver for receiving a stock, a barrel extension key extending inward from an interior surface of the longitudinal bore, the barrel extension key configured to index and position the barrel, and a barrel nut configured to couple with the first opening of the extruded receiver and maintain the barrel substantially inside of the longitudinal bore between the barrel extension key and the barrel nut. The method includes extruding a receiver having a longitudinal bore, machining features on an exterior surface of the receiver, machining transverse openings in the receiver, and providing a barrel nut.

A pig stopping device for stopping a pipeline inspection gauge in the receiving station of a pipeline is provided. The device provides a cylindrical frame sized to be inserted into the receiving station of a pipeline. The cylindrical frame includes a pair of opposing circular plates having inner surfaces connected by a plurality of elongated rods, thereby forming an interior volume within the cylindrical frame. The circular plates each comprise a plurality of apertures configured to allow the flow of liquid and debris therethrough and into the interior volume. A cage wraps around the exterior of the elongated rods, thereby enclosing the interior volume but allowing the flow of liquid therethrough. In this way, debris pushed into the interior volume of the pig stopping device by a pig or the flow of product in the pipeline is caught therein and prevented from flowing into a bypass line of the receiving station.
