A system for reducing deformities of the vertebrae in the spine includes a first reduction assembly, a second reduction assembly, and a reduction drive assembly. The first reduction assembly is configured for attachment to a first reduction tower that attaches to a first vertebra. The second reduction assembly is configured for attachment to a second reduction tower that attaches to a second vertebra. The reduction drive assembly includes an arcuate rack gear operably coupling the first reduction assembly to the second reduction assembly to translate the first reduction assembly relative to the second reduction assembly along an arcuate path in a first plane.

Spondylolisthesis reduction system

A system for reducing deformities in the spine includes a first tower assembly and a second tower assembly. The first tower assembly includes a first tower that couples to a first screw in a first vertebral level, a load transfer ring rotatable coupled to the first tower, and a load transfer link rotatably coupled to the load transfer ring. The second tower assembly includes a second tower that couples to a second screw in a second vertebral level, a load applicator secured to the second tower, and a load transfer member rotatably coupled to the second tower and linked to the load transfer link. The load applicator applies force to the load transfer member to position the first tower assembly relative to the second tower assembly.

A bone plate assembly is provided having a fixation plate held in position in a bone by a plurality of fasteners. The fasteners extend through holes in the bone plate to engage the bone below. Further, the assembly includes a locking plate, which is secured to the fixation plate by a lock screw or in a further embodiment by a mechanically biased detent extending into a hole in the locking plate. The lock plate can also include a divot, which is shallower than the hole to hold the lock plate in a open position. Further, the locking plate has a dovetailed connection to engage the flanges defining the exterior edges of a channel and the fixation plate. The locking plate, thus, has a sliding connection from a first position where it has at least partial openings corresponding to the openings of the fixation plate for the fasteners, and optionally also for a graft screw. In a second position, the edge of the plate surrounding the opening overlaps the fastener openings so as to lock these openings against the fastener backing out. The locking plate lock screw opening is counter sunk in the second position to enable the lock screws with the exterior surface of the locking plate.

Bone stabilization plate with a secured-locking mechanism for cervical fixation

The invention relates to a bone plate having at least two and up to ten ringed eyelets for receiving anchoring bone screws in a modified ball-and-socket joint. The eyelets are longitudinally aligned and joined to neighboring eyelets by curvilinear, bendable ribs extending between pairs of eyelets. The ribs are of a longer length than the distance between the external surfaces of adjacent rings which allows the longitudinal spacing of the rings to be increased or decreased by bending the ribs.

Longitudinally adjustable bone plates and method for use thereof

A bone plate assembly is provided having a fixation plate held in position in a bone by a plurality of fasteners. The fasteners extend through holes in the bone plate to engage the bone below.
