A system and method for making proceeds of a transaction available to a user before the transaction is completed is provided. The system may be part of an on-line system or traditional merchant configured to facilitate payments or fund transfers from users. In example embodiments, a request from a first entity to conduct a transaction involving a first value is received. Funds of the transaction are caused to be released prior to the transaction clearing a financial institution. Based on the transaction being rejected by the financial institution, at least a portion of the first value is charged against a credit source.

A system and method for making funds of a transaction available to a user before a funding entry clears is provided. The system may be part of an on-line system configured to facilitate payments or fund transfers from users. In example embodiments, a transaction request from a user is received. A risk score indicating a perceived risk involved with releasing funds before the funding entry clears is computed. Funds of the transaction are caused to be released prior to the funding entry clearing a financial institution based on the risk score exceeding a transfer threshold.

The invention relates to a novel pet ball launcher which uses a friction fit, scoop edges, and tuned tines or 'fingers' which control the release of the ball and thus arc and distance thereof. Instant availabililty of electronically transferred funds

A system and method for making proceeds of an ACH (Automated Clearinghouse) transaction available to a user before the transaction is completed. The system may be part of an on-line system or traditional merchant configured to facilitate payments or fund transfers from users. A user requests the transfer of funds to an entity (e.g., another user, a merchant, the user's account with the system) via an ACH entry. The system calculates a risk associated with the user, while considering various data (e.g., number of previous ACH entries, how many failed, how many succeeded, amount of the transfer). If the risk is low enough, the ACH entry is initiated and the desired funds are released for the transfer even before the ACH entry clears. The ACH entry may be presented as a default choice for funding the transfer.

A pneumatic gun sized and designed to appear like and operate in a manner similar to a conventional handgun. The gun may include a removable magazine storing projectiles and propellant. The entire magazine may be small enough to fit into a handle of the gun (e.g., with a pistol grip). The magazine may be integrated with propellant and projectile portions locked together or separable. Standard carbon dioxide cartridges fit within the magazine. Projectiles may be staggered to increase the maximum magazine load. A user may selectively release just the projectile portion of the magazine, in order to leave the propellant undisturbed until fully expended. The magazine may be completely removed from the gun without substantial loss of propellant.

A paintball gun is sized and designed to appear like and operate in a manner similar to a conventional handgun. A removable magazine stores projectiles and propellant. The entire magazine is small enough to fit into a handle of a pistol. The magazine may be integrated with propellant and projectile portions locked together or separable. Standard carbon dioxide cartridges fit within the magazine. Paintballs may be staggered to increase the maximum magazine load. A user may selectively release just the projectile portion of the magazine, in order to leave the propellant undisturbed until fully expended. A paintball gun is sized and designed to appear like and operate in a manner similar to a conventional gun. A dual-action firing bolt moves forward, assisting in launching a projectile, under cast pressure. The bolt then releases the compressed gas to carry the projectile down the barrel. Return springs operate to move the bolt and its valves to a ready-to-fire position. Similarly, trigger actuation mechanisms are spring-actuated to return to the ready-to-fire position. A removable magazine stores projectiles and propellant. The magazine is small enough to fit into a handle of a pistol. A user may selectively release just the projectile portion of the magazine, in order to leave the propellant undisturbed until fully expended. The magazine can be completely removed without substantial loss of propellant.

Semi-automatic-firing, compressed-gas gun

A continuously variable transmission that comprises an input shaft to which torque may be applied, an adjustable gearing mechanism, and a driven element. The adjustable gearing mechanism is attached to the input shaft and is configured to continuously vary the drive ratio in response to the applied torque transmitted through the input shaft. The adjustable gearing mechanism includes a hub operatively connected to said input shaft, resilient arms, and an engaging portion. The resilient arms are attached to the hub. In one embodiment of a continuously variable transmission, the hub and the plurality of resilient arms are integrally formed so as to form a one-piece member. The resilient arms are configured to continuously adjust the outer diameter formed by the resilient arms. The engaging portion is integral with each of the resilient arms and is configured to cooperate with an endless member such as a chain. The driven element is operably connected to said gearing mechanism by the endless member. The gearing mechanism comprises material selected from a group consisting of plastic, composites, reinforced elastomers, and metals and alloys thereof. In a preferred embodiment, gearing mechanism comprises plastic. An alternate embodiment of the present invention is disclosed in which the arms are rotatably attached to said hub. This embodiment of a continuously variable transmission also includes linear springs configured to urge the arms to resist the torque exerted thereon.
