An embedded temperature sensor may be attached to or otherwise associated with a textile in order to measure one or more temperatures of the textile. Temperature information received from one or more embedded temperature sensor(s) throughout the course of a dryer cycle may be analyzed to determine dryness of one or more textiles in a dryer, determine whether one or more textiles in the dryer are overdry, generate an indication of the dryness of the one or more textiles in the dryer, and/or to control one or more dryer cycles of the dryer, such as by automatically turning-off the dryer when one or more of the textiles in the dryer are determined to be dry. The embedded temperature sensor may further be used to validate a cleaning process in a cleaning machine.

Embedded temperature sensors for monitoring temperature of articles and status of drying or cleaning cycles

A system may monitor usage of a cleaning chemical and indicate when the chemical has expired and needs to be replaced. In some examples, the system includes a reservoir containing the chemical and a sensor associated with the reservoir that can detect user interaction with the chemical in the reservoir. The system may track an amount of time until the chemical in the reservoir is deemed to have expired and provide a user alert indicating expiration of the chemical. The system can control the amount of time remaining until the chemical is deemed to have expired based on the detected addition of the object to the reservoir.

System and technique for detecting cleaning chemical usage to control cleaning efficacy

Aspects of the disclosure are directed toward systems and methods for performing deionization of a fluid. A capacitive deionization (CapDI) module including a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet can be placed in a fluid flow system. The CapDI module can include a plurality of CapDI cells arranged in series with one another. A power MOSFET polarity circuit can receive power from a switching regular and provide bidirectional electrical power to the CapDI module for performing deionization and module regeneration processes. A controller can control the providing the electrical power from the switching regulator to the power MOSFET polarity circuit based on a signal received from a conductivity sensor positioned in the fluid flow path.

System and method for capacitive deionization of a fluid

A fluid treatment system is provided, comprising a capacitive deionization (CapDI) system for removing dissolved solids from a fluid. A controller is arranged in a closed feedback loop with the CapDI system to verify whether measured conductivity of the fluid corresponds to a set point conductivity value, and if the measured conductivity of the fluid does not correspond to the set point conductivity value, adjust the operation of the CapDI system to match the set point conductivity value. A pump selectively pressurizes the fluid such that purified fluid is at a pressure greater than line pressure of the fluid treatment system. An accumulator provided downstream of the CapDI system maintains the purified fluid at a pressure greater than the line pressure and intermittently delivers purified fluid to a use device. The purified fluid stored in the accumulator comprising chlorine and or chloramine so as to reduce microbial growth when stored in the accumulator.

Capacitive de-ionization mineral reduction system and method

A system and associated processes monitor hand hygiene compliance. For example, the hand hygiene compliance system may monitor, analyze and report on hand hygiene compliance after usage of bathroom facilities. Usage of bathroom facilities is determined by sensing activation (e.g., flushing) of a toilet or a urinal. Each activation event gives rise to a hand hygiene opportunity, and should be followed by performance of a corresponding hand hygiene procedure in order for the hand hygiene opportunity to be deemed 'compliant'. Performance of a hand hygiene procedure is determined by sensing actuation of a hand hygiene product dispenser. To determine whether a hand hygiene opportunity is compliant, the system may determine whether a dispenser actuation event occurred within a predetermined period of time from the activation event.
