A transmitter including radio-frequency (RF) chains. Each RF chain includes a power amplifier, a band-pass filter, and an antenna for transmitting an analog signal using a beamforming with an angle of departure (AOD) defined by phase shifts of the analog signals transmitted by the RF chains. A processor to determine digital signals for transmission from the RF chains. Wherein there is one-to-one correspondence between a digital signal and an RF chain. An encoder to encode the digital signals with binary codes to produce a set of encoded digital signals and to combine the encoded digital signals into a combined digital signal. A digital-to-analog converter to convert the combined digital signal into an analog domain to produce a combined analog signal. A decoder to decode, using the binary codes, the combined analog signal into a set of analog signals and to submit the analog signals into the corresponding RF chains.

Digital beamforming transmitter array system with hardware sharing and reduction

A method determining scheduling for packet transmission in a convergecast network. The method includes receiving a request to perform an operation in the network. Initializing a query from the sink-node, the query is transmitted to a plurality of nodes, and in response to the query, the receiver receives information indicative at a period of time. Sorting the nodes by the sink-node based on the received information and using a sorting function that prioritizes each node to obtain a prioritized order of the nodes. Calculating an end-to-end delay for each node based on the time data by determining a difference between the data generation release time for each node and the data delivery time at the sink-node for each node. Scheduling packet transmission for each of the nodes based on a scheduling function having a set of predetermined scheduling criteria. Performing packet transmissions in the tree using the scheduled order.

Scheduling of delay sensitive convergecast network

A method detects narrow band interference in wireless networks by first thresholding each block of samples to produce thresholded samples. The samples are normalized frequency magnitudes obtained from a spectrum of a wireless signal in a channel. Each block of the thresholded samples is summed to produce a thresholded value for each block. Then, thresholded values are autocorrelated to determine whether a bandwidth of the wireless signal is consistent with narrow band interference.
