A compressor includes a casing, a motor, a cylinder block including a cylinder, and a piston. The motor include a stator and a rotor located outside the stator, a rotary shaft coupled to the rotor, and a rotor frame that accommodates the rotor and the rotary shaft and that is configured to rotate together with the rotor and transmit rotational force of the rotor to the rotary shaft. The rotary shaft includes an eccentric part configured to rotate based on the rotational force of the rotor and located at a position offset from a rotational axis of the rotary shaft. The piston is coupled to the rotary shaft and configured to reciprocate in the cylinder based on rotation of the eccentric part. The rotor frame has a mass distribution configured to compensate an unbalance force generated by movement of at least one of the piston or the eccentric part.

A hermetic compressor equipped with a valve assembly may include a valve plate having one suction port and a plurality of discharge ports; a suction valve provided at a first surface of the valve plate; a discharge valve provided at a second surface of the valve plate and having one fixing portion and a plurality of opening and closing portions that extends from the one fixing portion to respectively open and close the plurality of discharge ports; and a valve stopper that is fixed to the valve plate and limits a degree of opening of the opening and closing portions of the discharge valve. Accordingly, the opening and closing portions of the discharge valve may be reduced in size to thereby reduce inertia of the discharge valve. Thus, response of the discharge valve may be increased while simplifying a structure and assembly of the discharge valve.

A compressor according to the present disclosure may include a bearing member located out of a range in an axial direction of a rotor. Accordingly, the bearing member and the rotor cannot overlap each other so as to reduce a bearing area. This may result in reducing a frictional loss of the compressor and ensuring a press-fit length of the rotor, so as to prevent interference between the rotor and a stator. Also, an area of an oil passage can be increased without an increase in the frictional loss, resulting in an increase in an amount of oil supplied.

Disclosed is a compressor capable of having an enhanced performance by sufficiently supplying oil to components where sliding occurs not only in a high speed driving mode but also in a low speed driving mode. The compressor may increase an oil supply amount in a low speed driving mode, but may restrict an oil supply amount when a rotation speed of a driving motor reaches a predetermined speed in a constant or high speed driving mode, by setting the number of turns of an external groove to be approximately 1.75, and by forming an oil feeder in a conical shape.

A hermetic compressor is provided that is capable of supplying oil even in a low-speed operation. The hermetic compressor includes a hermetic container filled with oil in a base thereof, a rotatably crank shaft having a screw-shaped oil groove in an outer portion thereof, and an oil feeder having an upper portion in which a lower portion of the crank shaft is inserted, the oil feeder having a lower portion immersed in the oil of the hermetic container.
