A journal foil air bearing supports a load along the radial direction of a rotating shaft. The bearing includes a top foil, a bump foil, and a base foil. The top foil faces the shaft, while the bump foil acts as an elastic member surrounding the top foil. The base foil, a circular pipe member, houses the bump foil. A separation preventer, protruding from the base foil without touching the shaft, restrains the bump foil from moving along the shaft's longitudinal direction. This design prevents the bump foil from escaping during operation, which maintains bearing performance and mitigates secondary damage from contact with other components.

An embodiment thermal management system of a vehicle includes an air supply device that draws and supplies ambient air. An air cycle apparatus connected to the air supply device that compresses or expands the air to be changed to a high or low temperature air. An air distribution device is connected to the air cycle apparatus and a cabin room connected to the air distribution device that receives the high or low temperature air. A first heat-exchanger connected to the air cycle apparatus performs heat-exchange on the high temperature air and a second heat-exchanger connected to the first heat-exchanger and the air cycle apparatus performs heat-exchange on the air. The second heat-exchanger and the air distribution device are selectively connected and the air having heat-exchanged while passing through the second heat-exchanger is selectively supplied to the air distribution device.

Provided is a foil air bearing having a herringbone pattern to sustain a load of a rotor rotating in a predetermined rotation direction around a center line, the foil air bearing including an upper top foil disposed to face a surface of the rotor, a middle top foil disposed under the upper top foil, a lower top foil disposed under the middle top foil, a bump foil provided as an elastically deformable member and disposed under the lower top foil, and a plurality of slots provided as holes penetrating from an upper surface to a lower surface of the middle top foil, and extending along a lengthwise direction forming a predetermined angle with a rotation direction of the rotor, wherein the upper top foil is deformed in a downward concave shape at locations corresponding to the slots due to air pressure generated by rotation of the rotor.

According to the present invention, an explosion-proof turbo compressor with an improved structure to increase service life and reduce vibration noise by using air bearings and to, at the same time, rapidly cool and then discharge flames caused by an internal explosion may be provided.

According to the present invention, the turbo compressor's size may be reduced by integration of the intercooler and the housing, and damage of the intercooler due to external impact may be prevented.

A blowing system includes: a blower; a case including: a blower receiving portion for receiving a heat source of the blower; a gas inlet for suctioning the gas from the outside; a gas passage connected from the gas inlet to a blower inlet; and an inverter receiving portion in which an inverter are installed; and a cooling member for cooling the inverter by using air, and has one end coupled to the inverter and the other end exposed to the gas passage, wherein the blower receiving portion is spatially separated from the gas passage, and the gas flows through the gas passage due to a suctioning force of an impeller, and the cooling member is cooled by the gas. According to the present invention, without separate cooling fans, the inverter may be quickly cooled only with the flow of gas generated by the impeller.

A thrust foil air bearing includes a bottom plate comprising a coupling portion protruding toward a rotating portion, an intermediate plate arranged above an upper surface of the bottom plate and comprising a bump foil that is elastically deformable and a first through-hole through which the coupling portion passes, and a top plate arranged above an upper surface of the intermediate plate, facing the rotating portion, and comprising a top foil arranged above the bump foil and contactable with the rotating portion and a second through-hole, through which the coupling portion passes, formed at a position corresponding to the first through-hole. The coupling portion couples the bottom plate, the intermediate plate, and the top plate to one another by passing through the first through-hole and the second through-hole. Thus, the thrust foil air bearing may be rapidly assembled without a complicated process such as welding.

A journal foil air beating includes: a top foil located to face an outer circumferential surface of a rotating shaft and surround the rotating shaft; a bump foil being an elastically deformable member and located to surround the top foil; a base foil located to surround the bump foil, and a coupling unit configured to couple the first end portion of the top foil, the first end portion of the bump foil, the first end portion of the base foil, and the second end portion of the base foil, wherein the base foil, the bump foil, and the top foil are modularized into one piece by the coupling unit. According to the present invention, the journal foil air bearing may be easily assembled in advance and modularized into one piece, may be very conveniently mounted or disassembled on a bearing housing in a workplace.

A thrust foil air bearing has a bump foil arranged on a thrust plate. A top foil includes a flat surface extending along top bumps of the bump foil, an edge attached to the thrust plate, and a ramp connecting the edge and the flat surface. The ramp forms a curvature. The curvature has a center located in a lower part of the ramp and tangentially contacts the top of a first bump of the bump foil.

A journal foil air bearing 5000 according to the present invention is provided with one top foil 300 along an inner periphery of a hole 18 of a bearing housing 10. Bump foils 20and 20are installed at the inner periphery of the hole 18 of the bearing housing 10 where they are distanced from each other. Both ends of the top foil 300 form bent portions 308and 308and the bent portions 308and 308are mounted in a slot 414 of a slot body 40 mounted in a slot 140 provided in the inner periphery of the hole 18 in the bearing housing 10 and the top foil 300 is elastically movable therein.
