A method and apparatus for allocating a memory address in a resource-centric network are disclosed. The method of allocating a memory address may include receiving a request for a new service, determining whether the new service is able to be accommodated in a virtual memory that is pre-allocated in a resource-centric network, when the new service is able to be accommodated, allocating a memory area for accommodating the new service to the virtual memory, and when the new service is not able to be accommodated, allocating the memory area by using an additionally allocated area of a virtual memory of the resource-centric network.

Method and apparatus for allocating memory addresses in resource-centric networks

A system for cooperation of disaggregated computing resources interconnected through an optical circuit, and a method for cooperation of disaggregated resources are disclosed. Functional block devices such as a processor block, an accelerator block, and a memory fabric block exist at a remote location, and these three types of remote functional block devices are interconnected and interoperated in a specific program to perform a cooperative computation and processing process. Accordingly, the system shares data and information of a memory existing in each block through optical signal interconnection that provides low-latency, fast processing, and wide bandwidth, and maintains cooperation and memory coherency.

An optical switching control method and apparatus. The method includes generating an optical switching path corresponding to a destination node of service traffic flowing from an external service network, generating an optical frame corresponding to the generated optical switching path, transmitting, to a control server, a request message for requesting an allocation of a time slot to transmit the generated optical frame, generating an optical signal having a predetermined wavelength to transmit the optical frame in response to an admission message being received as a result of admission with respect to the request message, and transferring the optical frame to the destination node based on the optical switching path using the generated optical signal.

The Ethernet apparatus includes: a transfer rate control unit to set a state of each of multiple physical coding sub-layer (PCS) lanes inside to be the same as a state of corresponding each of multiple physical transmission lanes based on state change information that indicates whether the each physical transmission lane is activated or not, and to remove idle blocks from data blocks which are received at a transfer rate of a physical transmission lane in active state among the multiple physical transmission lanes; and a block allocating unit to allocate the data blocks from which the idle blocks have been removed through PCS lanes in active state that correspond to the physical transmission lanes in active state.

Ethernet apparatus and method for selectively operating multiple lanes

An Ethernet device having multiple lanes and a method of operating the lanes are provided. In one general aspect, it is possible to allocate a dummy block to each of one or more lanes such that the lanes do not selectively participate in communications. In addition, on a receiving side, the dummy block can be removed from among the genuine data blocks to enable data to be decoded. In this case, an Ethernet device on a transmission side and an Ethernet device on a receiving side can exchange information of a lane to which the dummy block is allocated by use of a lane status message, and the lane status message may be based on a link fault message specified by Ethernet standards.
