A controller may measure resonance current of a working coil, measure driving voltage of a switching element included in an inverter circuit that supplies current to the working coil, and generates a phase margin pulse based on the resonance current and the driving voltage. The controller may compare the phase margin pulse with a switching signal and determine a driving state of the induction heating apparatus, and control driving of the working coil based on the driving state of the induction heating apparatus. Additionally, when it is determined that a driving frequency of the working coil is included in a capacitive area, the induction heating apparatus stops from operating, or a driving frequency of the working coil is set again.

Induction heating apparatus and method for controlling the same

A method for controlling an induction heating device includes acquiring a temperature value of a high-power working coil, when an absolute value of a difference between a first final driving frequency of a first working coil and a second final driving frequency of a second working coil is equal to or greater than a predetermined noise avoidance value and when a final driving frequency of a low-power working coil differs from a target frequency of the low-power working coil, determining whether the temperature value satisfies a predetermined output change condition, setting a required power value of the high-power working coil to a predetermined minimum power value when the temperature value satisfies the output change condition, and determining the first final driving frequency of the first working coil and the second final driving frequency of the second working coil again.

Induction heating device and method for controlling induction heating device

An induction heating apparatus may include first/second working coils, first/second inverter circuits, and a controller. When a user changes a required power value of a first working coil or a second working coil to a third required power value, a controller determines a third driving frequency corresponding to the third required power value. The controller calculates a difference value between a driving frequency of the working coil, the required power value of which is not changed, and the third driving frequency, and compares the calculated difference value with a first reference range. When the calculated difference value is included in the first reference range, the controller changes an operation mode of a first inverter circuit from a full bridge mode to a frequency doubler mode, and changes an output power value of the working coil, the required power value of which is changed to the third required power value.

Induction heating apparatus and method for controlling same

An induction heating apparatus according to one embodiment may confirm a feature of a container and determine an operation mode based on the feature of the container before performing an operation of heating the container. In one embodiment, the operation mode of the induction heating apparatus may be determined as any one of a frequency doubler mode, a half bridge mode, and a full bridge mode. In one embodiment, a power control mode of the induction heating apparatus may be determined based on an operation mode of the induction heating apparatus. In one embodiment, the power control mode of the induction heating apparatus may be determined as any one of an asymmetric pulse width modulation (APWM) mode and a phase shift mode.

Disclosed herein is an induction heating device capable of reducing interference noise. The induction heating device includes a first power module supplying power for driving to at least one of a first working coil and an inner coil, a second power module supplying power for driving to at least one of a second working coil and an outer coil, and a control unit controlling supply of power by the first power module and the second power module. In an embodiment, the control unit may cut off supply of power to the outer coil when an instruction for heating to at least one of a first heating area and a second heating area, and an instruction for heating to a third heating area are input.

An induction heating apparatus is configured to determine a third driving frequency corresponding to a third required power value when the required power value of the first working coil or the second working coil is changed to the third required power value, to calculate a difference value between the driving frequency of the working coil (the required power value of which is not changed) and the third driving frequency, to change an operation mode or a power control mode of the first inverter circuit or the second inverter circuit when the difference value is included in a predetermined first reference range, and to change an output power value of the working coil (the required power value of which is changed) to the third required power value.

The present invention relates to an induction heating apparatus. In order to cope with various types of containers without increasing an operating frequency of an induction heating apparatus, the present invention compares a resistance value of a container with a predetermined reference resistance value, and determines an operating mode of a switching device according to a result of the comparison. According to the present invention, it is possible to use various types of containers without increasing an operating frequency of an induction heating apparatus, by adjusting a resonance frequency of a working coil according to a resistance value of a container used in the induction heating apparatus.

Induction heating apparatus

An induction heating device includes an induction heating circuit, a sensor configured to measure current applied to the induction heating circuit, and a controller. The controller includes: a switch driving unit configured to control operation of an inverter unit and to allow a resonance of the current, a container sensing unit, and a control unit. The container sensing unit is configured to: convert a first current value before the resonance into a first voltage value; control the switch driving unit to charge a working coil; compare the first voltage value with a resonance reference value; convert a second current value after the resonance into a second voltage value; generate one or more output pulses; and compare the second voltage value with a count reference value. The control unit is configured to determine whether an object is present on the working coil based on the one or more output pulses.

Induction heating device performing container sensing function

A water purifier includes a water supply tube into which water is introduced, a filter member purifying water passing through the water supply tube, a water discharge tube supplying water to the outside of the water purifier, a hot water tube branched from the water discharge tube, a hot water module including a hot water tank provided on the hot water tube to accommodate purified water and a heat generation unit heating the water accommodated in the hot water tank, a controller spaced apart from the hot water tank or the heat generation unit to control the heat generation unit, and a water discharge nozzle supplying the water passing through the water discharge tube and the hot water tube to the outside of the water purifier. At least a portion of the hot water tube or the water discharge tube passes through the controller and is heat-exchanged with the controller.
