An LCD device includes a plurality of gate lines formed in an LCD panel; a plurality of driving stages, each of which sequentially outputting a respective enabling scan pulse to a corresponding one of the plurality of gate lines; at least one dummy stage responsive to an enabling scan pulse from a first one of the plurality of driving stages and supplying a disabling scan pulse to a second one of the plurality of driving stages to disable outputting of the enabling scan pulse; and a dummy gate line electrically connected to the at least one dummy stage.

A gate driver and a repairing method are disclosed, wherein the gate driver is provided with one or more plurality of auxiliary stages that can substitute for a disabled stage, the gate driver including a shift register provided with a plurality of first output lines; at least three output repairing lines arranged across the first output lines; at least two clock transmission lines to transmit at least two clock pulses of different phases; at least one clock repairing line arranged across the clock transmission lines; and at least one auxiliary stage connected to the output repairing lines and to the at least one clock repairing line.

A liquid crystal display device and driving method is provided. The liquid crystal display device includes a first data line to which a data voltage is supplied and a second data line separated from the first data line with a pixel row therebetween and connected to the first data line in top and bottom ends. A first gate line crosses the first and second data lines. A second gate line crosses the first and second data lines. A first switch device is operable to supply the data voltage from the first data line to a pixel electrode of an odd-numbered pixel row in response to the first scan pulse. A second switch device is operable to supply the data voltage from the second data line to a pixel electrode of an even-numbered pixel row in response to the second scan pulse.

A thin film transistor array substrate and a fabricating method for simplifying a process and reducing a manufacturing cost. In the thin film transistor array substrate, a gate line is formed on a substrate and a gate insulating film is formed on the gate line. A data line is provided in such a manner to intersect the gate line with having the gate insulating film therebetween, and contains any at least one of tungsten silicide (WSi), cobalt silicide (CoSi) and nickel silicide (NiSi). A thin film transistor is provided at each intersection between the gate line and the data line.
