An antenna includes a supporting layer and a reflection element disposed on the supporting layer configured to reflect an incident wave with a respective reflection phase, the reflection element extending perpendicularly from the supporting layer at a height configured to achieve the respective reflection phase, and both the supporting layer and the reflection element being formed with an all-dielectric material. The antenna is not susceptible to metallic corrosion and has flexible design freedom. It is in a simple and compact structure for providing complete reflection and phase adjustment simultaneously. The simple structure of the antenna enables it to be manufactured in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

All-dielectric reflectarray antenna

An antenna for a phased array antenna. The antenna includes a substrate, a radiation element arranged on the substrate, and a radiation pattern shaping mechanism operable to reduce central radiation provided by the radiation element during operation.

Phased array antenna and antenna for phased array antenna

An antenna includes a radiator arrangement and a feed mechanism operably coupled with the radiator arrangement for affecting operation of the radiator arrangement. The feed mechanism is configured to selectively operate in at least three different states. When the feed mechanism operates in a first state, the antenna operates in a first mode to provide a broadside radiation pattern. When the feed mechanism operates in a second state, the antenna operates in a second mode to provide an omnidirectional radiation pattern. When the feed mechanism operates in a third state, the antenna operates in a third mode to provide a unilateral radiation pattern.

Pattern reconfigurable antenna

A lens for a horn antenna and a horn antenna including the lens. The lens includes a generally flared plate assembly extending generally along an axis from a first side to a second side opposite the first side. The generally flared plate assembly defines a plurality of non-linear channels that are operable to manipulate an electromagnetic wave received at the first side to provide a manipulated electromagnetic wave at the second side.

A multi-polarization antenna includes a plurality of antenna elements and a dielectric arrangement operably coupled with the plurality of antenna elements. The dielectric arrangement is arranged to cooperate with the plurality of antenna elements to (i) facilitate transmission and/or receive of, at least, electromagnetic waves with a first polarization, electromagnetic waves with a second polarization different from the first polarization, and electromagnetic waves with a third polarization different from the first polarization and the second polarization, and (ii) reduce, limit, and/or eliminate mutual coupling between at least some of the plurality of antenna elements during operation. Multi-polarization antenna and multi-polarization antenna array

A omnidirectional antenna includes a substrate; a dielectric resonator element arranged on the substrate; a feed circuit operably coupled with the dielectric resonator element and operable to facilitate operation of the omnidirectional antenna in a first frequency band; and a feed probe operably coupled with the dielectric resonator element and operable to facilitate operation of the omnidirectional antenna in a second frequency band different from the first frequency band.

Omnidirectional antenna

A dual-band HP omnidirectional antenna includes an electrically small (ES) first omnidirectional loop antenna for a first band, and a second omnidirectional loop antenna for a second band. The first omnidirectional loop antenna and the second omnidirectional loop antenna are capable of operating independently in the first band and the second band. A loading effect of the second omnidirectional loop antenna adapted to suppress a higher-order mode of the first omnidirectional loop antenna.

Electrically small, planar, horizontally polarized dual-band omnidirectional antenna

A substrate-integrated dielectric resonator contains a substrate layer with a first dielectric constant, a plurality of dielectric vias, and a plurality of second vias. Each dielectric via includes a first via-hole extending through the substrate layer, and a dielectric material with a second dielectric constant contained within the first via-hole. Each second via has a second via-hole extending through the substrate layer and filled with gas. A dielectric resonator antenna containing a substrate-integrated dielectric resonator and a method of fabricating the same is also disclosed. By skillfully arranging second vias inside the DRA, the resonant frequencies of different modes can be controlled, and a wide impedance band-width with stable radiation performance can be achieved.

Compact wideband low-profile dielectric resonator antennas

A Far-UVC excimer light source contains a first electrode adapted to be energized, a second electrode adapted to be energized, a body defining a cavity that is filled with an excited molecule complex between the first and second electrodes; and a Far-UVC optical dielectric coating filter which is a Far-UVC filter attached to the interior side of the first electrode and adapted to filter a Far-UVC light excited in the cavity of the body. The Far-UVC dielectric coating is located inside the light source, between the cavity with the excited molecules and the first electrode. The Far-UVC filter attached to the interior side of the first electrode is a transmissive Far-UVC optical filtering dielectric coating or coated glass which is integrated, placed on, or near the interior side of the first electrode inside the light source.

An omnidirectional biconical antenna, which includes a first funnel-shaped plate having a wide end and a narrow end; a second funnel-shaped plate having a wide end and a narrow end; and an annular metal lens delimited by the second funnel-shaped plate and the first funnel-shaped plate. The second funnel-shaped plate is inversely positioned relative to the first funnel-shaped plate, such that the narrow ends of the second funnel-shaped plate and the first funnel-shaped plate point to each other.

Wideband high-gain omnidirectional biconical antenna for millimeter-wave applications

An antenna that comprises a dielectric body and a feed arrangement. The dielectric body includes a first portion operable as a dielectric lens and a second portion operable as a dielectric resonator. The feed arrangement is operably coupled with the dielectric body for operating the antenna as a dielectric lens antenna and a dielectric resonator antenna.

Antenna

A tri-band omnidirectional dual-polarized antenna that includes a dielectric resonator, a first substrate containing a first feeding circuit; and a second substrate containing a second feeding circuit. The first substrate and the second substrate are both planar, which form a sandwiching structure with the dielectric resonator. The first and second feeding circuits are adapted to provide dual polarizations to three frequency bands. The antenna can be used in the tri-band wireless communication systems to provide large signal coverage and stable wireless access for mobile terminals.

Tri-band dual-polarized omnidirectional antenna

The present disclosure includes an omnidirectional dielectric resonator antenna (DRA). The omnidirectional DRA comprises a substrate, a dielectric, and a planar antenna positioned between the substrate and the dielectric. The planar antenna comprises a central planar feed positioned on the substrate. The planar antenna also comprises a plurality of feed lines coupled to, and extending outward from, the central planar feed. The planar antenna also comprises a plurality of arms coupled to the plurality of feed lines. Each arm extends from a corresponding feed line.

Omnidirectional dielectric resonator antenna

A tri-frequency multi-polarisation omnidirectional antenna comprising: a first plurality of curved electrically conductive strips arranged on the first face and being arranged to form an outer-loop; second plurality of curved electrically conductive strips arranged on the first face and being arranged to form an inner-loop; third plurality of curved electrically conductive strips arranged on the first face and being arranged to form middle-loop; a first power divider and a second power divider each connected to the strips of the inner-loop; a dielectric resonator comprising a first face, the first face arranged on the first face of the substrate; an electrically conductive probe being arranged at least partially within the dielectric resonator and extending at least part way along the symmetry axis.

Tri-frequency multi-polarisation omnidirectional antenna

The present invention provides a single-fed wideband circularly-polarized dielectric resonant antenna. The antenna includes a lower antenna portion configured as a twisted inverted-frustum having a twist angle &#x3b8; between its top and bottom surfaces, wherein the twist angle &#x3b8; is greater than zero degrees and less than 5 degrees. An upper antenna portion extends from the lower antenna portion top surface. The upper portion includes plural interleaved slabs of first and second dielectric materials having respective first and second dielectric constants, the interleaved slabs having a stepwise-varying height between adjacent slabs. The antenna may be mounted on a printed circuit substrate at a 45 degree angle to an excitation slot. The antenna may be compact and easily manufactured using 3-D printing techniques.
