The disclosure relates to a refrigerator including an ice making tray in which a plurality of ice making cells forms and including at least one partition wall dividing the plurality of ice making cells into a plurality of regions, a water supply device provided to supply water to any one of the plurality of regions, a rotation motor providing a driving force to rotate the ice making tray in a first direction or in a second direction opposite to the first direction, and a controller configured to control the water supply device to supply a predetermined amount of water to one of the plurality of regions, and to control the rotation motor to rotate the ice making tray in the first direction when the supply of water to the one region is completed and rotate the ice making tray in the second direction when a predetermined time elapses.

A refrigerator includes a cabinet including a freezing compartment and a heat exchange chamber configured to supply cold air to the freezing compartment, a door configured to open and close the freezing compartment, an ice making chamber provided on a rear surface of the door and including an ice maker configured to make ice, and an ice cover configured to cover the ice maker and including a first part provided with a plurality of cold air inlet slits into which the cold air is introduced and a second part extending downward from the first part and provided with a plurality of cold air outlet slits through which the cold air is discharged.

Refrigerator

A refrigerator includes a compressor, a condenser, an evaporator, switching valve, an ice-making device, a controller, and a first refrigerant pipe and a second refrigerant pipe connected between the condenser and the evaporator. The switching valve is configured to guide the refrigerant condensed in the condenser to the first refrigerant pipe or the second refrigerant pipe. The ice-making device allows the first refrigerant pipe to pass therethrough and is configured to cool water stored in an ice-making tray. The controller is configured to control the switching valve to guide the refrigerant to the ice-making device through the first refrigerant pipe. In response to a temperature of the ice-making tray falling to a level lower than or equal to a reference temperature, the controller is configured to control the switching valve to prevent the refrigerant from being guided to the first refrigerant pipe and supply water to the ice-making tray.

Refrigerator and method of controlling the same

A refrigerator including a main body having a refrigerating compartment and a freezing compartment, a refrigerating compartment door rotatably coupled to the main body to open and close at least a part of the refrigerating compartment, an ice-making compartment, an ice maker disposed in the ice-making compartment to make ice, a dispenser to dispense ice, an auxiliary door to open and close the ice-making compartment, and a cold air duct connecting the ice-making compartment to the freezing compartment to cool the ice-making compartment. The ice maker including an ice-making tray that is rotatable and a cold air guide that is deformable and restorable and fixed to the ice-making tray.
