An electric motor includes a stator, a case surrounding the stator, and a rotor rotatably disposed with respect to the stator. The rotor includes a rotor core having a plurality of poles and slots, a shaft coupled to a central portion of the rotor core, a rotor coil wound on the rotor core, and coil supporting members provided at the rotor core. The coil supporting members are configured to support the rotor coil such that the rotor coil is prevented from being separated from the rotor core in a radial direction when the rotor rotates. Under such a configuration, a short-circuit of the rotor coil due to a centrifugal force when the rotor rotates, can be prevented.

Electric motor with end winding support

Disclosed are an electric motor and an electric vehicle having the same. The electric motor includes a stator including a stator core and a stator coil wound around the stator core, a rotor disposed to be rotatable with respect to the stator, and a cooling unit configured to allow a cooling fluid to flow therein and disposed to be in contact with the stator to cool the stator, wherein an outer surface of the stator core includes grooves in which the cooling unit is inserted. Cooling performance can be enhanced by shortening a heat transmission path, and the cooling unit can be easily fabricated and coupled.

Electric motor and electric vehicle having the same

An electric motor includes a stator, a rotor disposed to be rotatable with respect to the stator, and a cooling unit including a cooling fluid and disposed between the stator and the inverter device to cool the stator and the inverter device. Weight can be reduced, and thus, power consumption of a battery can be reduced and a traveling distance of the vehicle can be increased.

An electric motor includes a case, a stator disposed in an interior of the case, a rotor including a shaft disposed to be rotatable with respect to the stator, and an oil circulator to contact with oil that is accommodated or stored at the interior of the case, the oil circulator may disperse at least a portion of the oil when the rotor rotates with respect to the stator. Accordingly, outputs can be improved by restraining an increase in the temperature of components.

A motor for an electric vehicle includes a frame, a stator disposed in the frame, a rotor disposed to be rotatable with respect to the stator; and an engaging portion that restricts the stator from moving with respect to the frame in a circumferential direction, the engaging portion including at least one rib protruding from one of the surfaces of the frame and the stator, and at least one rib accommodation portion formed at other of the surfaces of the frame and the stator, wherein the at least one rib and the at least one accommodation portion are engaged to allow heat to be transferred therebetween. Under this configuration, a cooling performance may be improved and durability may be enhanced.
