The present invention discloses a defrosting device, including: a heating unit provided at a lower portion of the evaporator; and a heat pipe connected to an inlet and an outlet of the heating unit, respectively, and having at least part thereof disposed adjacent to a cooling pipe of the evaporator such that the cooling pipe of the evaporator is heated by a working fluid of high temperature which is transferred in a heated state by the heating unit, wherein the heating unit includes: a heater case extending in one direction to be arranged in a left and right direction of the evaporator, and having the inlet and the outlet at both sides thereof; and a heater provided with an active heating part accommodated within the heater case and actively generating heat to heat the working fluid, and a passive heating part extending from the active heating part and heated up to temperature lower than temperature of the active heating part, and wherein the inlet is formed at a position away from the active heating part to prevent the working fluid returned after flowing along the heat pipe from being introduced directly into the active heating part.

Defrosting device and refrigerator having the same

Disclosed is an evaporator including a case formed in an empty box type and having a storage chamber therein; a cooling tube formed on the case in a preset pattern and filled with refrigerant for cooling therein; a heating tube formed on the case in a preset pattern so as not to be overlapped with the cooling tube and filled with working fluid for defrosting therein; and a heating unit fixed to an external surface of the case corresponding to the heating tube and configured to heat the working fluid within the heating tube.

Evaporator and refrigerator having the same

A defrosting device includes a heating unit filled with a working fluid and including an active heating part heated to a first temperature that can evaporate the working fluid, and a passive heating part positioned at a rear side of the active heating part and heated to a lower temperature than the first temperature. The defrosting device also includes a heat pipe disposed adjacent to an evaporator to transfer heat to the evaporator while circulating working fluid heated by the active heating part, the heat pipe including an entrance portion configured to receive working fluid evaporated by the active heating part, and a return portion connected adjacent to the passive heating part and configured to receive working fluid that has condensed after circulating through the heat pipe. Condensed working fluid received at the heating unit first passes through the passive heating part before being reheated at the active heating part.

The present invention discloses a defroster comprising: a heating unit having a heater case arranged vertically along an up-down direction on the outside of an evaporator, and a heater disposed vertically in the up-down direction inside the heater case; and a heat pipe respectively connected to an outlet provided at the top side of the heating unit and an inlet provided at the bottom side of the heating unit, and having at least a portion thereof disposed adjacent to the refrigerant pipe of the evaporator so that working fluid heated by the heater moves and transfers heat to the evaporator to remove frost, wherein the heater is configured to be immersed beneath the surface of the working fluid when all the working fluid in the heat pipe is in a liquid state.

A defrost heat discharge system includes a drain duct configured to discharge heat from a defrost heater and to discharge condensed water that results from melting of frost on an evaporator by heat generated by the defrost heater, a drain pipe that connects a first space to a second space, that is configured to allow condensed water to flow from the first space to the second space, and that is configured to discharge heat generated by the defrost heater from the first space to the second space, a drain cap located at an end of the drain pipe and configured to open and close at least a portion of the drain pipe; and a condensing fan configured to receive heat from the defrost heater and discharge heat toward an outside of the second space based on the drain cap opening the portion of the drain pipe.

Defrost heat discharge system and refrigerator having the same

The present disclosure discloses a defrosting device, including a heating unit provided at a lower side of an evaporator, and configured to heat working fluid therein; and a plurality of heat pipes, both end portions of which are connected to an inlet and an outlet of the heating unit, respectively, and at least part of which are disposed adjacent to a cooling tube of the evaporator to emit heat to the cooling tube due to high temperature working fluid heated and transferred by the heating unit, wherein the plurality of heat pipes are configured with a first heat pipe and a second heat pipe disposed to form two rows on a front portion and a rear portion of the evaporator, respectively, and the first heat pipe and the second heat pipe are formed in different lengths.
