A display device may include a display panel and a driver circuit. The display panel may include subpixels, data lines, and reference voltage lines. The driver circuit may drive the data lines. A first subpixel may be connected to a first data line and a first reference voltage line. A driving time of the first subpixel may include a first initialization time in which a reference voltage is applied to the first reference voltage line and a first tracking time in which a voltage of the first reference voltage line increases from the reference voltage. During the first tracking time, a first data signal transferred to the first subpixel through the first data line may be changed from a first voltage value to a reference driving voltage value. The first voltage value may be higher than the reference driving voltage value. The display device may reduce a sensing time.

A driving voltage sensing circuit and a display device including the same. Deterioration of an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) disposed in each of subpixels is effectively compensated for by accurately sensing a change of charged capacitance depending on a current flowing through the organic light-emitting diode in a deterioration sensing period of the organic light-emitting diode. A driving voltage-for-sensing deterioration, applied to the display panel in the deterioration sensing period of the organic light-emitting diode, is maintained within a reference range. The deterioration of the organic light-emitting diode is accurately sensed by maintaining the driving voltage-for-sensing deterioration, applied in the deterioration sensing period, within the reference range.

Driving voltage sensing circuit and display device using the same

A present disclosure relates to a method of sensing characteristic value of circuit element and display using it. The display device is able to accurately sense deterioration of the organic light-emitting diode disposed in each subpixel of a display panel and compensate for the deterioration. The method of sensing characteristic value of circuit element is able to save a sensing time for an entire display panel and improve a driving speed of the display device by efficiently performing a deterioration sensing process of the organic light-emitting diode.

By forming a repair structure in a horizontal direction and vertical direction by using one or more repair lines between two or more pixels adjacent to each other in a display panel, even though a dark spot appears due to a defective operation of one pixel, the one pixel may be compensated to be driven by using the other pixel.

An organic light emitting display device and a method of repairing the device are discussed. According to an embodiment, the device includes a display panel having pixels, each including an OLED in every pixel area defined as scan and data lines intersect with each other and having a repair structure in at least one of horizontal and vertical directions between adjacent pixels by one or more repair lines; a timing controller configured to generate compensation data when a dark spot is generated in one of the plurality of pixels of the display panel, and adjust a magnitude of image data according to the compensation data; and a data driver configured to adjust a magnitude of a data voltage according to the image data adjusted in magnitude, and output the data voltage adjusted in magnitude to the data lines.

An organic light emitting display and a method of compensating for a threshold voltage thereof are disclosed. The organic light emitting display includes a display panel including a plurality of pixels, a gate driving circuit generating first and second threshold voltage sensing gate pulses, a data driving circuit which supplies a threshold voltage sensing data voltage to the pixels in response to the first threshold voltage sensing gate pulse and detects a source voltage of a driving thin film transistor (TFT) of each pixel as a sensing voltage in response to the second threshold voltage sensing gate pulse, and a timing controller which modulates input digital video data for the image display based on a change in the sensing voltage and generates digital compensation data.

Organic light emitting display and method of compensating for threshold voltage thereof

An organic light-emitting display device is disclosed. The organic light emitting display device includes a display panel including sub-pixels emitting light of at least three colors, and a driver supplying a driving signal to the display panel, wherein each of the sub-pixels emitting at least three colors includes an opening region emitting its own color and a light-emitting participation region additionally emitting the same color as or different color from the its own color.
