A tooth implant system has an upper abutment, a lower abutment, a crown, and an elastic member securely placed between the upper abutment and the lower abutment providing softer and elastic, yet resilient, cushion between the upper abutment and the lower abutment. To better affix the elastic member within the tooth implant system, a ring lock may be used, securely placed in a ring-lock groove located on the lower abutment section. An insertion of a screw deeper into the lower abutment receptacle pushes the ring lock-groove and the ring lock outwardly to force the elastic member against an inner chamber wall of the upper abutment and into the abutment groove to better securely affix the elastic member.

Tooth implant system

The present invention relates to an implant unit comprising: an artificial dental root including a plate portion having a first side surface and a second side surface extending along the horizontal extending direction of the alveolar bone and opposed to each other, and a base portion protruding from the first side surface at the upper end of the plate portion, penetrating through a surface of the alveolar bone, and being implanted into the alveolar bone; and at least more than one abutment formed on the upper end of the base portion.

Implant unit

A tooth implant system is provided, comprising a fixture, protrusions, and an abutment. The fixture has a top opening portion, a bottom closed portion, an inner surface portion, an outer surface portion, and a central hole portion surrounded by the inner surface portion. The plurality of protrusions are provided on the inner surface portion of the fixture at locations of substantially same heights from the bottom closed portion and with even circumferential intervals, and each of the plurality of protrusions comprises a vertical stop and a bottom edge. The abutment comprises an upper cylindrical portion, a middle connecting portion extending from the top cylindrical portion, and a lower engaging portion extending from the middle connecting portion. The lower engaging portion of the abutment is configured to be received into the central hole portion surrounded by the protrusions and engage with the protrusions.

Provided is an implant unit, and more particularly, a dental implant unit. The implant unit includes a fixture assembled to an alveolar bone; and an abutment assembled to the upper portion of the fixture, wherein the fixture includes a space defined by a groove-like structure formed in depth direction from the lower portion of the fixture facing the alveolar bone.

Provided is a dental implant unit capable of reducing stress. The implant unit includes an fixture, which is assembled to an alveolar bone and includes a long hole therein; an intermediate structure inserted to the long hole of the fixture; and an abutment assembled to the intermediate structure, wherein the lower portion of the long hole of the fixture has a sloped surface, the lower portion of the intermediate structure also has a sloped surface, and at least a portion of the sloped surface of the long hole and at least a portion of the sloped surface of the intermediate structure contact each other.

Provided is an implant unit. The implant unit includes a fixture, which is assembled to an alveolar bone and includes a long hole formed in the depth-wise direction and having an opening on the top of the fixture; an intermediate structure, which is inserted to the long hole via the opening of the fixture; and an abutment assembled to the intermediate structure, wherein a first structure for coupling the fixture to the intermediate structure is formed on the inner surface of the fixture.

A system for cutting a three-dimensional portion from a foodstuff includes a conveyor for carrying a foodstuff to be portioned, a scanner located adjacent to the conveyor for scanning the foodstuff, a computer coupled to the scanner for receiving scan information to determine one or more cutting paths for the foodstuff, and a cutter for portioning the foodstuff according to the determined cutting path(s). The computer performs generally four steps: (i) receiving scan information from the scanner; (ii) building a three-dimensional map of the foodstuff based on the received scan information; (iii) fitting at least one desired shape, which is stored in the memory of the computer, onto the built three-dimensional map; and (iv) determining one or more cutting paths for portioning the foodstuff to produce one or more portioned foodstuffs corresponding to the at least one desired shape.

System for portioning foodstuff to user-specified shape

A rare earth doped optical fiber amplifier is configured to have an enlarged core region and a trench formed adjacent to the core, where at least an inner portion of the trench is also formed to include a rare earth dopant. The presence of the rare earth dopant in the inner region of the cladding minimizes transient power fluctuations within the amplifier as the number of optical signals being amplified changes. The addition of rare earth dopant to the cladding increases the overlap between the pump, signal and the rare earth ions and thus improves the gain efficiency for the optical signal. The relatively large core diameter increases the saturation power level of the rare earth dopant and decreases the transients present in the gain as the input signal power fluctuates.

A system for cutting a three-dimensional portion from a foodstuff. The system includes a scanner for scanning the foodstuff, a computer coupled to the scanner for receiving information from the scanner to determine one or more cutting paths for the foodstuff, and a cutter for portioning the foodstuff according to the one or more determined cutting paths. The computer is configured to perform generally four steps: (i) receiving scan information of the foodstuff from the scanner; (ii) building a three-dimensional map of the foodstuff based on the received scan information of the foodstuff; (iii) fitting at least one desired shape, which is stored in memory of the computer, onto the three-dimensional map in the memory of the computer; and (iv) determining one or more cutting paths to be used in portioning the foodstuff so as to produce one or more portioned foodstuffs corresponding to the at least one desired shape.

Method for portioning foodstuff to user-specified shape

The portioning foodstuffs in three dimensions includes generating a three-dimensional map of the foodstuff, and then comparing the generated three-dimensional map of the foodstuff with the desired shape as stored in the memory of a computer. The computer determines the particular cutting path in three dimensions in order to arrive at the predetermined shape. This is followed by cutting in one direction to fix at least one dimension of the foodstuff, determining whether the foodstuff is within the tolerance limits or whether the foodstuff portion has moved during the first cutting operation. If so, the foodstuff is rescanned to generate a two-dimensional image of the foodstuff, followed by cutting the foodstuff to arrive at a portion trimmed along three dimensions.

Three axis portioning method

A method for portioning foodstuffs in three dimensions includes scanning the foodstuff to be portion, generating a three-dimensional map of the foodstuff, then comparing the generated three-dimensional map of the foodstuff with the desired shape which is stored in the memory of a computer. A computer then determines a particular cutting path in three dimensions in order to arrive at the predetermined shape, followed by a cutting in one direction to fix at least one dimension of the foodstuff, then determining whether the foodstuff is within the tolerance limits. The foodstuff is thereafter cut along its other dimensions to arrive at a portion trimmed along three dimensions.

An optical receiver is provided with inputs for receiving two fiber optic lines. The two fiber optic lines carry redundant data. An optical interface passes the respective signals therein to a comparison unit. The comparison unit compares the signals and determines which has the better quality and passes the better quality signal on to a processing interface. Clock data for operating the comparison unit is extracted from the optical signals.

Ring type fiber optic protection

A method and circuit are presented for an all-optical format independent preprocessor that processes an arbitrary optical input signal by converting a NRZ signal to a PRZ signal, or if the input optical signal is RZ, by merely amplifying it. The method involves subtracting a delayed copy of the signal from the original, thereby effectively doubling its frequency, and inserting a pulse at each transition of the original signal, whether rising or falling. In a preferred embodiment this stage is implemented via an integrated SOA in each arm of an asymmetric interferometric device. The asymmetry consists of a delay element in one arm. In a preferred embodiment the entire device is fabricated on a semiconductor substrate, allowing for compactness as well as minimization of interconnectivity losses and overall power consumption. The output of the preprocessor, having a significant frequency component at its original clock rate, can then be fed to a clock recovery stage for all-optical clock recovery.

Format insensitive and bit rate independent optical preprocessor

A method and circuit are presented for the all optical recovery of the clock signal from an arbitrary optical data signal. The method involves two stages. A first stage preprocesses the optical signal by converting a NRZ signal to a PRZ signal, or if the input optical signal is RZ, by merely amplifying it. In a preferred embodiment this stage is implemented via an integrated SOA in each arm of an asymmetric interferometric device. The output of the preprocessing stage is fed to a clock recovery stage, which consists of a symmetric interferometer that locks on to the inherent clock signal by using the second stage input signal to trigger two optical sources to self oscillate at the clock rate. In a preferred embodiment the second stage is implemented via SOAs integrated in the arms of an interferometer, with two DFB lasers as terminuses. The output of the interferometer is an optical clock signal at the clock rate of the original input.
