An apparatus for controlling IEEE 802.15.4 physical layer operation state is provided. The physical layer operation state controlling apparatus defines an operation state of a physical layer including a Hardwired Low-MAC (HL-MAC) device in which functions of IEEE 802.15.4 MAC layer are hardwired, and includes a state module for controlling the operation state of the physical layer. The state module includes a Finite State Machine (FSM) for, when receiving an event for the operation state of the physical layer, transiting to a state module corresponding to the event and controlling the operation state of the physical layer; and an interrupt handler for converting an interrupt received from the physical layer to the event corresponding to a register of the state module and sending the event to the FSM. Hence, by means of the state machine for the IEEE 802.15.4 PHY, the IEEE 802.15.4 physical layer operation state can be controlled to optimize the operations of the upper MAC.

Apparatus and method for controlling operation state of physical layer

A method for controlling a multi-sink/multi-path routing sensor network and a sensor network system using the same are provided. The method for controlling the sensor network includes generating, at a sensor node, sensing data; transmitting, at the sensor node, the sensing data to a plurality of sink nodes; and forwarding, at the sink nodes receiving the sensing data from the sensor node, the sensing data to a gateway. Hence, it is possible to satisfy the reliability required in the safety-critical system with the minimum traffic. Both of the two conflicting requirements which are the reliability enhancement of the sensor network and the minimization of the network traffic in the repeated data transmission, can be satisfied adequately.

An fusing apparatus for correcting process variation is provided. The fusing apparatus for correcting the process variation of the semiconductor device includes a fusing part including a fusing resistor fused by a current penetrating; a current driving transistor for fusing the fusing resistor by driving a fusing current according to a fusing enable signal applied; a current path part for building a current path by connecting to the fusing part, and controlling a first node voltage according to a fusing state of the fusing resistor; and a latch part for latching a second node signal inversely amplified from the first node voltage, and outputting the latch value when a power-on reset part operates in a normal mode. Using the fusing cell, the test time can be reduced and the current consumption can be greatly decreased in the fusing process.

A transmitter and a transmitting method of a wireless communication system are provided. The transmitter transmits RF signals using an outphasing scheme of converting one analog IF NC-EMS into two analog C-EMSs. In the transmitter, a baseband processor generates a baseband digital modulated I-signal and a baseband digital modulated Q-signal. A signal converter converts the baseband digital modulated I-signal and the baseband digital modulated Q-signal into a baseband analog modulated I-signal and a baseband analog modulated Q-signal. An IF processor up-converts the baseband analog modulated I-signal and the baseband analog modulated Q-signal to generate one analog IF NC-EMS. A signal component separator separates the analog IF NC-EMS into a first analog IF C-EMS and a second analog IF C-EMS. An RF processor up-converts the first analog IF C-EMS and the second analog IF C-EMS to generate a first analog RF C-EMS and a second analog RF C-EMS. A power amplifier amplifies powers of the first and second analog RF C-EMSs. An RF combiner combines the first and second analog RF C-EMSs having the amplified powers to generate one combined analog RF C-EMS.

Transmitter and transmitting method thereof in wireless communication system

A transmitter and a transmitting method of a wireless communication system are provided. The transmitter transmits RF signals using an outphasing scheme of converting one analog IF NC-EMS into two analog C-EMSs. In the transmitter, a baseband processor generates a baseband digital modulated I-signal and a baseband digital modulated Q-signal. An IF processor up-converts the baseband digital modulated I-signal and the baseband digital modulated Q-signal to generate one digital IF NC-EMS. A digital intermediate frequency transmitter for a wireless communication is disclosed. In accordance with the present invention, an improvement of a modulation quality such as an EVM, a linearity and a power consumption is possible, and a main characteristic of a wireless communication transmitter may be embodied at a low cost through an integration such that a high frequency 90&#xb0; phase shifter, a voltage controlled oscillator having a 2&#xd7; frequency or higher and a high frequency I/Q local oscillated signals are not required and a side-band signal may be effectively removed.

Disclosed herein is a multi-standard transceiver for supporting a plurality of time division deplexing wireless communication standards. The multi-standard transceiver has a Multi-Mode Modem (MMM), a frequency synthesizing unit, a transmission unit, a reception unit and a transmission/reception switch. The MMM selects a transmission standard and a transmission channel and performs digital modulation/demodulation. The frequency synthesizing unit variably adjusts a carrier frequency. The transmission unit receives a digital modulated signal, low-pass-filters the digital modulated signal with a bandwidth thereof variably adjusted according to the selected transmission standard, and up-converts the filtered digital modulated signal into an RF modulated signal. The reception unit down-converts the RF modulated signal, low-pass-filters the down-converted RF modulated signal with a bandwidth thereof being variably adjusted according to the selected transmission standard, and converts the filtered, down-converted RF modulated signal into a digital modulated signal.

Disclosed herein is an intelligent channel selection apparatus and method against various interferers in wireless communication systems, and a receiver using the same. The intelligent channel selection apparatus includes a channel power measurement unit, a channel list storage unit, a channel selection data generation unit and a channel selection unit. The channel power measurement unit measures received signal channel power of a plurality of available channels and storing the received signal channel power as channel power data. The channel list storage unit arranges the plurality of available channels and storing the plurality of available channels in a channel list. The channel selection data generation unit generates data for channel selection based on the signal channel power data and the frequency offsets of the channels of the channel list. The channel selection unit selects the highest priority channel from the channel list based on the data for channel selection.

Intelligent channel selection apparatus and method against various interferers in wireless communication systems and receiver using the same

Disclosed herein is a 2-order sub-harmonic frequency modulator and direct conversion transmitter using the same. The direct conversion transmitter includes a digital modulation unit, a D/A conversion unit, a DC correction and low pass filter unit, a local oscillator, a poly phase signal generation unit, a 2-order sub-harmonic I/Q frequency modulation unit, a power amplification unit, and an antenna. The digital modulation unit digitally modulates a base-band signal and then outputs I and Q component signals. The D/A conversion unit converts the I and Q component signals into analog I and Q component signals. The DC correction and low pass filter unit adjusts DC interfaces of the analog I and Q component signals, passes low frequency components of the analog I and Q component signals and generates I and Q components of a base-band signal. The local oscillator generates a sine wave signal with a frequency of F/2. The poly phase signal generation unit generates a poly phase signal with 2phases. The frequency modulation unit mixes the I and Q components with the poly phase signal with 2phases to generate an output signal with a frequency of F. The power amplification unit amplifies the output of the frequency modulation unit to a required level. The antenna radiates the output signal of the power amplification unit.
