A display device may include a pixel circuit in a display area including a rounded corner portion, a scan driving circuit in a peripheral area surrounding the display area, and configured to provide a scan signal to the pixel circuit, a fan-out line between the pixel circuit and the scan driving circuit in the peripheral area adjacent to the corner portion, and configured to provide a pixel data signal to the pixel circuit, and a repair circuit between the scan driving circuit and the fan-out line in the peripheral area adjacent to the corner portion.

Repair circuit for a display device

A display device includes: a substrate; a plurality of transistors disposed on the substrate; an initialization voltage line disposed on the substrate and including a first initialization voltage line that extends in a first direction, and a second initialization voltage line that extends in a second direction; and a driving voltage line disposed on the substrate and extending in the second direction, wherein each of the first initialization voltage line and the driving voltage line is connected to at least one of the plurality of transistors, and the second initialization voltage line and the driving voltage line overlap each other.

A display device includes a base substrate including: a display region including a pixel, and a pad region defining an end surface of the base substrate which is furthest from the display region and exposed outside the display panel; an insulating layer in the display region and the pad region; and in the pad region: a signal pad electrically connected to the pixel and to a dummy pad; the insulating layer covering the signal pad and the dummy pad and defining an end surface of the insulating layer which is furthest from the display region and exposed outside the display panel; and a first opening in the insulating layer which exposes the signal pad outside the insulating layer and outside the display panel. A display apparatus includes a display area extending in a first direction and a second direction, first to fourth sub-pixels, and a spacer. The first sub-pixel emits a first color light, and includes first and second sides extending in a third direction inclined at a predetermined angle with the first direction, and third and fourth sides extending in a fourth direction perpendicular to the third direction. The second sub-pixel emits a second color light, and is disposed adjacent to the second side of the first sub-pixel in the fourth direction. The third sub-pixel emits a third color light, and is disposed adjacent to the fourth side of the first sub-pixel in the third direction. The fourth sub-pixel emits the first color light, and is disposed adjacent to the second and third sub-pixels. The spacer is disposed between the first and second sub-pixels and between the third and fourth sub-pixels.

Display apparatus

A liquid crystal display includes: a first substrate; a gate line disposed on the first substrate; a first data line and a second data line disposed on the first substrate; a first thin film transistor connected to the gate line and to the first data line; a first subpixel electrode connected to the first thin film transistor; a second thin film transistor connected to the gate line and to the second data line; a second subpixel electrode connected to the second thin film transistor; a third thin film transistor connected to the gate line and to the first data line; a fourth thin film transistor connected to the gate line and to the second data line; and a third subpixel electrode connected to the third and fourth thin film transistors.

Liquid crystal display

In an exemplary display device of the present invention, a first microcavity filled with liquid crystal molecules is disposed on a substrate. A roof layer is disposed on an upper side and two facing first sides of the first microcavity. The two facing first sides are arranged in a first direction. A support member is disposed on one of two facing second sides of the first microcavity. The two facing second sides are arranged in a second direction crossing the first direction. An overcoat is disposed on the roof layer and the other of the two facing second sides of the first microcavity. The support member having a column shape is connected to the roof layer.

Display device and manufacturing method thereof

A display device is provided. A substrate includes a thin film transistor. A pixel electrode is connected to the thin film transistor. A common electrode is formed on the pixel electrode. A microcavity including liquid crystal molecules is interposed between the pixel electrode and the common electrode. A roof layer is formed on the common electrode. The roof layer includes at least one protrusion. A support member is formed under the at least one protrusion and in a column shape. The support member is surrounded by the liquid crystal molecules. An overcoat is formed on the roof layer and a side of the microcavity.

A liquid crystal lens includes a first lens electrode, a second lens electrode, bus lines, and a contact portion. The first lens electrode is disposed in at least a display area of the liquid crystal lens. The second lens electrode is disposed in at least the display area. The bus lines are disposed in a peripheral area of the liquid crystal lens, the peripheral area being disposed outside the display area, the first lens electrode and the second lens electrode being connected to respective ones of the bus lines. The contact portion overlaps the bus lines and electrically connects the respective bus lines to the first lens electrode and the second lens electrode.

A display device improves horizontal crosstalk and an aperture ratio, and includes: a substrate; a gate line and a data line formed on the substrate; a thin film transistor connected to the gate line and the data line; a pixel electrode connected to the thin film transistor; a light block overlapping the thin film transistor on the pixel electrode; a light block passivation layer overlapping the thin film transistor and the data line on the light block; a common electrode formed on the pixel electrode, spaced apart from the pixel electrode with a plurality of microcavities interposed therebetween; a roof layer formed on the common electrode; an injection hole exposing a part of each of the plurality of microcavities; a liquid crystal layer filling the plurality of microcavities; and an encapsulation layer formed on the roof layer covering the injection hole to seal the microcavity.

A liquid crystal display includes: a first substrate, a second substrate facing the first substrate, a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first substrate and the second substrate and including liquid crystal molecules, a gate line positioned on the first substrate, a data line positioned on the first substrate and crossing the gate line, a first thin film transistor and a second thin film transistor connected to the gate line and the data line, a third thin film transistor connected to the gate line and the second thin film transistor, a reference voltage line connected to the third thin film transistor, and a pixel electrode including a first subpixel electrode connected to the first thin film transistor and a second subpixel electrode connected to the second thin film transistor.

A liquid crystal display device includes a first thin film transistor connected to a first data line and controlling a first voltage output, a second thin film transistor connected to a second data line parallel to the first data line and controlling a second voltage output, a third thin film transistor connected to a third data line disposed between the first data line and the second data line and controlling a third voltage output, a first liquid crystal capacitor electrically connected to the first thin film transistor and the third thin film transistor, and a second liquid crystal capacitor electrically connected to the second thin film transistor and the third thin film transistor.

Array substrate and liquid crystal display device having the same

A liquid crystal display (LCD) is provided that can improve lateral visibility while preventing a decrease in luminance. The LCD includes first and second gate lines which are arranged in parallel with each other and sequentially transmit a gate voltage; a data line which intersects the first and second gate lines and transmits a data voltage; a pixel electrode which is disposed in a pixel and includes first and second sub-pixel electrodes that are connected to each other through a first charge-sharing capacitor; a first switching device which is connected to the first gate line, the data line and the first sub-pixel electrode; a second switching device which is connected to the first sub-pixel electrode through a second charge-sharing capacitor; and a third switching device which is connected to the second gate line and the second sub-pixel electrode and is also connected to the first sub-pixel electrode through the second charge-sharing capacitor.
