An advanced driving assistance system (ADAS) provides collision avoidance control for a host vehicle. The system can include one or more sensors mounted to the host vehicle and configured to sense a driving lane in which the host vehicle is traveling and to sense an external vehicle partially engaged in the driving lane. A controller controls steering, braking, or acceleration of the host vehicle on the basis of sensing information received from the sensor. The controller determines the external vehicle partially engaged in the driving lane as a target vehicle having at least a part thereof overlapping with a lane mark of the driving lane, and performs longitudinal braking or acceleration control or lateral steering control on the host vehicle based on lateral and longitudinal positional relationships between the host vehicle and the target vehicle.

Camera system for intelligent driver assistance system, and driver assistance system and method

The present disclosure relates to a camera system for an advanced driving assistance system (ADAS). The ADAS includes a voltage logic and a memory logic that may be used in a front-view camera system. The ADAS includes a scheme capable of coupling a lens barrel and a lens holder in a front-view camera system. The camera system according to the present disclosure includes a lens configured to capture a region ahead of a vehicle, a lens barrel configured to accommodate the lens in an internal space thereof, a lens holder coupled to the lens barrel, an image sensor configured to sense an image captured by the lens, an image processor configured to receive image data from the image sensor and process the received image data, and a camera micro-control unit (MCU) configured to communicate with the image processor and receive the data processed by the image processor.

The present disclosure relates to a camera system for an advanced driving assistance system (ADAS). For example, a voltage logic and a memory logic are used in a front-view camera system for an ADAS. A system and method for performing autonomous emergency braking (AEB) based on peripheral situations of a vehicle. The AEB system includes a front lateral detection sensor, a vehicle dynamics sensor, and an electronic control unit (ECU). The front lateral detection sensor detects a distance and a relative speed between a host vehicle and a peripheral object, or transmits peripheral images of the host vehicle to the ECU. The vehicle dynamics sensor detects a driving speed of the host vehicle, and transmits the detected driving speed to the ECU. The ECU receives detection signals from the front lateral detection sensor and the vehicle dynamics sensor, and increases a size of an AEB control available region and/or an AEB control available speed when at least one leading moving object or at least one external object is present in longitudinal and latitudinal directions of a forward region of the host vehicle and the host vehicle is unable to perform steering avoidance capable of preventing collision with the leading moving object or the external object. Accordingly, even when several leading vehicles are present not only in longitudinal but also latitudinal directions of a forward region of the host vehicle and the host vehicle is unable to perform steering avoidance, the possibility of collision between the host vehicle and the leading vehicles can be reduced.

A driver assistance system (DAS) for a vehicle avoids collision between a vehicle and a preceding object using emergency steering of the vehicle. The DAS includes forward-view sensors and a corner sensor mounted to a vehicle. A controller is provided with a processor to process the forward-view image data, the forward-view sensing data, and the side-view sensing data. The controller detects both a preceding object located in a region forward of the vehicle and a side object located in a region on the side of the vehicle in response to a result of processing the forward-view image data, the forward-view sensing data, and the side-view sensing data. In response to a collision between the vehicle and the preceding object being predicted and the region on the side of the vehicle being free of the side object, the controller outputs a steering signal to a steering device of the vehicle.
