Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station, a UE capability message associated with a number of downlink multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) layers supported at the UE. The UE may receive a configuration for a set of downlink MIMO layers including a first subset of downlink MIMO layers configured for a first cell and a second subset of downlink MIMO layers configured for a second cell. The UE may allocate a first set of resources to the first cell or the second cell, or both, based on the first and the second subset of downlink MIMO layers. The UE may determine a second set of resources are unallocated to the set of downlink MIMO layers and allocate the second set of resources to the first cell or the second cell, or both.

Techniques to allocate receive resources

Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for enhanced inter-frequency detection between misaligned base stations are disclosed herein. A user equipment (UE) may determine that a neighbor cell associated with a first frequency is misaligned with a serving cell associated with a second frequency different than the first frequency based on first measurements of the neighbor cell within a first measurement gap window having a first length. The UE may detect a location of a synchronization signal block (SSB) associated with the neighbor cell within a second measurement gap window having a second length greater than the first length. The UE may determine an alignment offset between the location of the SSB and the first measurement gap window. The UE may obtain second measurements of the neighbor cell within a third measurement gap window that includes the location of the SSB based on the alignment offset and parameters of the SSB.

Enhanced inter-frequency detection for misaligned base stations

Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for improving inter-Radio Access Technology (RAT) measurements. A user equipment (UE) determines, while in a connected state Discontinuous Reception (CDRX) mode in a first cell of a first Radio Access Technology Network (RAT), that a second cell of a second RAT is to be measured. The UE schedules at least two operational periods related to transitioning between ON and OFF states of the CDRX mode to overlap, to increase a period available for measuring signals in the second cell.

Methods and apparatus for improving inter-radio access technology measurements

A user can have a contract with a mobile communication provider such that a limited number of communication minutes can be used overall or a limited number of minutes can be used with other providers. When incoming call identification information is disclosed, additional information can be presented relating to the contract, such as what provider the incoming call uses and how many free minutes the user has with an incoming provider. The user, in determining if the incoming communication should be engaged, can employ the additional information and make an appropriate decision.

Disclosure of communication information

Apparatus and methods for managing operation information include determining a home network for a wireless device and receiving a call with a number identifying a calling party and a network identification identifying the network for the calling party. The apparatus and methods also include determining whether the received network identification corresponds to the home network for the wireless device. In addition, the apparatus and methods include displaying a notification based upon the determination; and accepting and/or rejecting the call based upon the notification.
