A gas barrier film is provided comprising a base film of polyester provided, on at least one of its surfaces, with a deposited layer of an inorganic compound and a gas barrier layer of a copolymer resin composition formed on the former. The gas barrier layer is produced from a mixture of a base material composed at least of the two components of (a) an unsaturated nitrile that accounts for 10% to 30% by mass of the copolymer and (b) an unsaturated compound with a hydroxyl group that accounts for 30% to 70% by mass of the copolymer; (c) a curing agent that contains a compound with an isocyanate group; and (d) a compound that has either two or more carboxylic acid groups or one or more carboxylic anhydride groups.

Gas barrier film

The present invention relates to a gas barrier film where a polyurethane resin layer and an inorganic layer are disposed in this order from a polyester resin film side on at least one surface of a polyester resin film, wherein the polyurethane resin constituting said polyurethane resin layer is a resin containing a skeleton represented by the following formula (1) and/or the following formula (2). The present invention provides a gas barrier film having excellent oxygen insulation and water vapor insulation. 

The present invention relates to a gas barrier film where a polyurethane type resin layer and an inorganic layer are disposed in this order from a polyester type resin film side on at least one surface of a polyester type resin film, wherein the polyurethane type resin constituting said polyurethane type resin layer is a resin containing a skeleton represented by the following formula (1) and/or the following formula (2). 

A production method of a film of the present invention is a production method of a film, in which after a polymer base is wound off, metal is evaporated, and an oxygen gas is introduced and the inorganic compound layer is formed in an excitation atmosphere of an organic silicon compound containing gas when an inorganic compound layer is formed on the surface of a polymer base. The production method of a film of the present invention can produce a film having a high gas barrier property against an oxygen gas, a water vapor and the like.

A laminated film is provided which is constituted essentially of a resin substrate and a coated film disposed thereon. The coated film comprises a montmorillonite containing a cation exchanger other than sodium ions and a water-soluble polymer. The laminated film offers a high oxygen-permeability barrier at high humidity and firm bonding between the coated film and the resin substrate at high humidity. A packaging material derived from the laminated film is also provided.

Optical recording medium

An optical recording medium having each of a land and a groove and comprises at least a recording layer, dielectric layers and reflection layer. Recording and erasing of data can be carried out on both land and groove by a phase change between amorphous and crystalline states. The mirror portion may have reflectance characteristics selected from at least one of a reflectance of more than 15% and no more than 35%, when in a crystalline state, and 10% or less, when in an amorphous state. Alternatively, additionally, the depth of the groove may be such as to form an optical path length equal to 1/7 to 1/5 of the wavelength of the reproducing light and the photo-absorbance of the recording layer in the amorphous phase and the photo-absorbance in the crystalline phase may satisfy the following formula, Aa-Ac.ltoreq.10 where Aa is the photo-absorbance (%) of the recording layer in the amorphous phase and Ac is the photo-absorbance (%) of the recording layer in the crystalline phase. In an optical recording method, an edge type recording system is provided on an optical recording medium in which recording and erasing are effected by a phase change between amorphous and crystalline states. Recorded marks are provided by pulse trains each comprising a number of recording power pulses and, additionally, a power pulse, after the last of the recording power pulses, of a power less than a erase power and of a duration in a range of 1.1 to 6 times the duration of the last recording power pulse.

Method for recording on optical recording media

An optical recording medium having each of a land and a groove and comprises at least a recording layer, dielectric layers and reflection layer. Recording and erasing of data can be carried out on both land and groove by a phase change between amorphous and crystalline states. An optical recording medium includes a substrate, a recording layer and a dielectric layer formed on said substrate, said dielectric layer containing a mixture containing at least a chalcogen compound and fluoride compound. The optical recording medium has excellent long term storage stability, excellent recording and erasing cycle characteristics and excellent recording and/or erasing characteristics.

In an optical recording medium of the type on which information can be written, erased, and read by irradiating light to a recording layer formed on a substrate and in which writing and erasing of the information are effected by phase transition between an amorphous phase and a crystalline phase, this invention relates to an optical recording medium which includes at least a recording layer and protective layers and the composition of the recording layer comprises at least one kind of metals selected from the group consisting of palladium (Pd), nickel (Ni), silver (Ag), and gold (Au); antimony (Sb); germanium (Ge); and tellurium (Te), and is expressed by the formula given below. The present invention provides an optical recording medium which has a high erasing speed, is excellent in recording characteristics such as a carrier-to-noise ratio, an erase ratio, recording sensitivity, etc., is capable of a large number of writing and erasing cycles, is excellent in thermal stability, oxidation resistance and moisture-and-heat resistance, and has a long service life.
