Gas turbine engine frames are disclosed. An example gas turbine engine frame may include a generally annular outer casing disposed coaxially about a hub; a plurality of circumferentially spaced apart struts joined to the hub and the outer casing, individual struts extending radially outwardly from the hub to the outer casing; and a stiffening rail monolithically formed with the outer casing circumferentially between two of the struts. The stiffening rail may extend radially inward beyond the inner surface of the outer casing between the struts.

A strategy board game of territorial conquest for two to four players. Each player commands an army of twenty-four pieces on a playing board divided into five regions called territories. The pieces rest on the intersections of lines on the board called Points. In each territory there exists a special board Point referred to as a Base. The pieces in the game at all times have a specific direction that they face on the game board. The facing of the piece determines its vulnerability to capture by another piece. In addition to facing, different types of playing pieces are assigned different attributes such as Movement number, Attack number and Blocking faces which affect the utility of each piece in game situations. A notation system allows text play of the game. Electronic embodiments allow game play on electronic devices.

Strategy board game

A low pressure turbine casing has a conical annular shell circumscribed about a centerline. A forward flange depends from a forward end of the annular shell and a forward hook extends aftwardly from the forward flange. First and second rails having first and second hooks, respectively, extend aftwardly from the annular shell. First and second cooling holes extend through the first and second rails, respectively. Cooling air feed holes extend through the forward flange. The first and second cooling holes may be radially disposed through the first and second rails, respectively, with respect to the centerline or disposed through the first and second rails at an oblique angle with respect to the centerline. A low pressure turbine casing and shroud assembly further includes a first annular cavity in fluid flow communication with the first cooling holes and the second cooling holes. A second annular cavity is in fluid flow communication with the first and second cooling holes.

Internal low pressure turbine case cooling

A stud for interconnecting adjacent flanges of a flanged joint in a tubular casing. The flanges each contain apertures to receive the stud and each flange is inclined relative to the casing outer surface, with one flange extending radially outwardly and the other flange extending radially inwardly, as a result of which one end of the stud extends externally of the flanged joint and the other end extends internally. The stud includes an external formation that is of non-circular form and that is carried by the stud between the threaded ends to extend radially outwardly. The external formation is adapted to be engaged by an anti-rotation member to prevent unintended rotation of the stud. The stud is removable from the flanged joint without the need to completely disassemble the joint to remove a broken stud.

The present invention is a damper assembly included in a strut on the front frame for a jet propulsion engine. The damper assembly is disposed within the strut for damping vibration of the strut as a result of air stream pressure pulses from first stage fan blades causing strut excitation when the fan blades are operating at least at transonic speeds.
