A wind deflector has a bearing base and a shiftable body that is shiftable relative to the bearing base between a first, extended position, in which the body is spaced apart from the bearing base and a second, placed-on position, in which the body is placed onto the bearing base. Two spaced apart links extend between the body and the bearing base. Each link has one end articulated to the body and a second end articulated to the bearing base. A push-push lock is provided for fixing at least one of the link and the body in the placed-on position of the body.

Wind deflector

A roof construction of a motor vehicle has a fixed roll bar, and a roof element which, in the closed position, is accommodated between the roll bar and a windshield and, in the open position, is accommodated behind the roll bar in a convertible-top compartment. The roof element can be shifted from the open position into the closed position and vice versa beyond the roll bar via an opening and closing mechanism. With the roof element in the closed position, the mechanism penetrates lateral offsets of the roll bar and, in the open position, opens up the lateral offsets. The lateral offsets of the roll bar are each assigned, on the front side of the roll bar, a covering which, in the closed position of the roof element, opens up the lateral offset for the passage of the mechanism and which, in the open position, covers the lateral offsets.

Roof construction of a motor vehicle

A roof construction for a motor vehicle has a roll bar and a roof element which, in a closed position, is accommodated between the roll bar and a windshield and, in an open position, is accommodated behind the roll bar and can be shifted from the open position into the closed position and vice versa beyond the roll bar via an opening and closing mechanism. The roof constructing further has a covering which covers the roll bar on the outside in the open position of the roof element and in the closed position of the roof element. Vertical extending side parts of the covering can be shifted relative to the roll bar during the shifting of the roof element. A transverse part of the covering extends substantially in a horizontal direction and is fastened to the roll bar so as not to be able to be shifted relative thereto.

A motor vehicle () has a wind deflector () adjacent an upper cowl (), a roof arrangement () behind the wind deflector () and an air-guiding device () behind the roof arrangement (). The wind deflector () is extended into a first operative position (WS) and the rear air-guiding device () is transferred into first lifting position (HS) if the roof arrangement () is open and if the driving speed (VF) of the motor vehicle () is below a predetermined first value (V). The wind deflector () is transferred into a second operative position (WS) and the rear air-guiding device () is transferred into a second lifting position (HS) above the first lifting position (HS) if the roof arrangement () is open and if the driving speed (VF) is above a predetermined, second value (V).

A folding top clamp for a vehicle has a connecting-link-controlled locking hook which can be displaced by guiding devices from a closed position to an open position. The locking hook interacts with at least one hook guide which is in an operative connection with a motor gearing unit. A folding top clamp having a simple structure and a compact construction is provided in that the motor gearing unit extends only on a longitudinal side of the locking hook and has an electric motor oriented transversely with respect to a longitudinal center plane of the vehicle, which electric motor interacts by way of a triple-geared-down gearing unit with a hook guide of the locking hook.

Cover locking device for a vehicle

A removable roof is provided for a passenger car of the sports car type, between a windshield frame and a rollover bar system, which roof is made of a plastic material and includes an exterior wall as well as an interior wall. In order to create a highly stressable, light-weight and space-saving roof, the exterior wall as well as the interior wall are made of a high-strength plastic material and form a rigid member connection, the exterior wall and the interior wall meeting essentially only at edge zones.

Removable roof for a motor vehicle and method of making same

An air guiding device for a vehicle sliding roof is arranged on a draft deflector and comprises essentially a holding section as well as an adjoining wing which protrudes to the outside in an operative position and is bent in an inoperative position. The holding section of the air guiding element is clampingly held in a transverse slot of the draft deflector.

A passenger vehicle a folding top can be changed from a closed position spanning a passenger compartment into a storage position. The folding top includes a folding top frame structure and a folding top cover which is held in place on the folding top frame structure, and a rigid rear window. The folding top frame structure has at least one rear, U-shaped tensioning bar which in the closed position of the folding top can be displaced into a substantially horizontal tensioned position and into an upward folded, for example upright, mounted position and which on its free bar ends is seated in a swivel axis that runs roughly parallel to the vehicle's transverse axis. For improved accessibility of the storage compartment each leg of the U-shaped tensioning bar is connected with the swivel axis by means of a detachable connecting device.

A motor vehicle having a flap, which is implemented, for example, as a tail gate, and is swivellably linked by way of a hinge device to the body of the motor vehicle, and opens and closes a flap opening, which hinge device comprises a body-side and a flap-side fitting part, and the two fitting parts are swivellably connected relative to one another by way of at least one multi-control-arm arrangement having at least two control arms. For adjusting the flap relative to the body of the motor vehicle, the flap-side fitting part for the fastening to the flap is provided with at least one oblong hole, and between the flap-side fitting part and the flap, an adjusting slide is arranged which has at least a second oblong hole, in which case a fastening element reaches through the two oblong holes and is fastened to the flap, and the second oblong hole extends at an angle (&agr;) with respect to the first oblong hole, this angle (&agr;) amounting to more than 0&deg; and less than 90&deg;.

A motor vehicle has a roof arrangement which has a sliding cover at least partially opening up and closing a roof opening, and a wind deflector device with a wind deflector blade. By way of a tilt-out lever arrangement the deflector can be displaced into an inoperative and operative position, the tilt-out lever arrangement being disposed with its first end at the vehicle in a first swivelling axis extending approximately parallel to the transverse axis of the vehicle and being connected by its second end with the wind deflector blade. During its displacement from the inoperative position into the operative position and vice-versa, the wind deflector blade is longitudinally displaceable approximately parallel to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, In addition, the wind deflector blade is connected by way of a second swivelling axis extending parallel to the transverse axis of the vehicle with the second end of the tilt-out lever arrangement, and can be restrictedly swivelled about this second swivelling axis by a control path. This arrangement reduces the space requirement of the wind deflector device in the inoperative position.

Motor vehicle roof arrangement

A window arrangement for a vehicle has a viewing window and a window support frame which is fastened to the interior side of the window facing a vehicle interior, the window arrangement also having a sealing strip for the window edge, which sealing strip is fastened by means of a fastening extension to the window support frame. In order to permit a fast mounting of the sealing strip on the viewing window, the window support frame has a receiving recess for the fastening extension of the sealing strip, the fastening extension being held by at least one clamping element in the receiving recess.

Window arrangement for a vehicle

A lowerable rear window in a folding top has a window which, during opening of the folding top, can be lowered about a horizontal axis into a depositing space of the vehicle. Lateral steering levers which are guided corresponding to the movement of the folding top during opening and closing are used for guiding the rear window. The rear window reaches directly under a vehicle body element without the need for a connection made of a folding top cover between the vehicle body element and the rear window.

A folding top for a vehicle is composed of a folding top structure and a folding top cover. The folding top structure, which interacts with folding top bearings arranged on a vehicle body side, includes a forward large-surface dimensionally stable folding top section which extends adjacent to the windshield frame, a main hoop, and a rear-side tensioning bow. To reduce the noise level in the vehicle occupant compartment during vehicle operation, an interior ceiling is provided on the side of the folding top structure facing a vehicle occupant compartment. The interior ceiling is composed of a center part and two lateral parts linked to longitudinal sides of the center part. The center part is detachably fastened on the large-surface dimensionally stable folding top section as well as on the main hoop. The lower edge areas of both lateral parts are detachably held in position, on one side, at the tensioning bow and, on the other side, on the folding top bearings.

A folding top for a convertible has a folding top linkage and a folding top covering carried by the folding top linkage. The folding top covering comprises at least one folding top material segment. For reducing or saving the connecting seams and the sealing measures, at least one folding top material segment is shaped by thermal deformation to a three-dimensional shape adapted to the contour of the folding top.

A latch for a top of an automobile has a housing mounted on the top with a movable latching hook cooperating with a link mounted on the windshield frame. The latching hook is displaceable by an actuating device from a closed position into an open position. To produce a latch which forms a compact module, takes up little space in the transverse vehicle direction, and whose latching hook is movable by a motor, the motorized actuating device for the latching hook has a drive motor aligned approximately parallel to the lengthwise direction of the latching hook. The motor is in an operating relationship through a transverse transmission element and a downstream transmission with a drive lever to move the latching hook.
