A pack including at least two articles or PET containers combined with each other, which are held together by means of a strip-like or ribbon-like compact strapping and said strapping being stretched around an outer surface of the articles or PET containers in a horizontal manner. The strapping is made of one, two or more similar or different plastic strapping band or bands made of a composite material with overlapping ends each whereby a single part or multi part contact point is formed by gluing and/or welding. The strapping forms a relief loop at the contact site or apart from the contact site.

A method for strapping groups, bundles, packaged goods, and/or grouped articles or grouped packaged goods, having at least one strapping band, which is placed and/or tensioned approximately horizontally and/or vertically and/or diagonally around the exterior of the bundles, packaged goods, or groups of articles, or groups of packaged goods, the strapping band forming either an open or a closed ring, which is tensioned to form a firm assembly of the bundles, packaged goods, etc. A magazine feeds the strapping band to at least one application head for applying the strapping respectively to a group, to a bundle, to at least one packaged good, and/or to the grouped articles or grouped packaged goods. In addition, the strapping band extends and is conveyed largely without being guided and/or in a free-floating manner, at least within an operating range of the application head.

Method and device for strapping packagings, products for packaging or grouped items

A device and method for the manufacturing of a pack including at least one article. The device includes a strapper for strapping a strip around the at least one article. The strapping is strapped around the outside of the article horizontally and/or vertically and/or cross-wise. A device generates a definable tensioning force of the strapping. A detector for the detection of properties of the article(s) is coupled and/or effectively connected to the device for generating a definable tensioning force of the strapping. A regulation and/or control method for a strapping device is also provided. Recorded properties of the articles to be wrapped and/or of the strapping material to be used are used as control values for the tensioning force and/or back tensioning force.

A method and device for handling packs or similar unit loads in a packaging plant where packs exiting from a packaging machine are distributed and in the process optionally rotated and palletized in a palletizer, wherein distribution, rotation and palletizing are performed essentially continuously and directly consecutively from the packaging machine to the palletizer.
