A method for providing a modified game of Twenty-One is provided which includes removing player favorable cards from or adding player unfavorable cards to relative to a standard fifty-two card deck. To adjust the house advantage or vigorish as a result of the modification of the deck, the method of play is modified to provide one or more liberal game rules and bonus payouts on the player's hand. The combination of rules changes and deck modification can be used to approximately obtain a selected vigorish. Further the method of playing the game makes card counting much more difficult for the professional card player. Preferably multiple decks, up to six decks, of these modified decks are used.

Blackjack game with modifiable vigorish

A method and system for generating displays related to the play of Baccarat is provided. Cards dealt to each of the Banker's and Player's hands are identified as by scanning and data signals are generated. The card identification data signals are processed to determine the outcome of the hand. Displays in various formats to be used by bettors are created from the processed identification signals including the cards of the hand played, historical records of outcomes and the like. The display can also show bettors expected outcomes and historical bests. Bettors can refer to the display in making betting decisions.

Method and system for generating displays in relation to the play of baccarat

A modified method of playing either conventional Baccarat, or a modified Baccarat game with simplified draw rules is provided which can eliminate the commission charged to winning Bank hands by providing a partial payoff on one or more Bank winning outcomes. Further the method of the present invention can operate upon the Player hand as well to adjust the vigorish therefor. The method can be used to provide a no-commission game where the vigorish for the Bank and Player hands are substantially the same. Further the vigorish can be adjusted to at least partially fund a jackpot outcome.

Modified baccarat

A method for playing a modified game is provided wherein, if the dealer shows an Ace as the up card, and after action is completed regarding insurance wagers, the dealer exposes the down card regardless of whether or not the dealer has a Blackjack. In a further or additional embodiment, if the player has a predetermined holding from the initial cards dealt such as a twelve and draws a ten value card to bust, at least a portion of the player's wager is returned to the player. As but yet a further feature, the player may opt to make a bonus wager. If the player makes a bonus wager and from his initial two cards has a card which matches in denomination or both denomination and suit, the player is rewarded up to 10:1 on the bonus wager whether or not the player ultimately wins his Blackjack wager. Additionally the bonus wager may be applied in the event the dealer's up card is a two and the player has a specified initial holding. Large payoffs may be provided for certain specified holdings.

Method for playing a modified blackjack game

A method of playing Twenty-One using a forty-eight card deck of cards comprising the Aces through the Nines and the Jacks, Queens and Kings. The elimination of only the four ten-spot cards (or only any four cards having a numerical count of ten) makes card counting much more difficult for the professional card player. Preferably multiple decks, up to six decks, of these forty-eight card decks are used. The elimination of the four ten-spot cards tips the odds of the game toward the house. To make up for this difference and keep the game attractive to the players the method of play is modified to provide liberal game rules and bonus payouts on the player's hand. The liberal game rules include allowing players to make double down wagers at any time regardless of the number of cards held by the player, and allowing the player to take back the amount of the player's double down wager if the player's numerical hand count does not exceed twenty-one and if the player is dissatisfied with his hand. The bonus payouts include paying a bonus to a player if the player's first two cards are Blackjack regardless of the numerical count of the dealer's two cards, and declaring the player to have a winning hand if the numerical count of the player's hand is twenty-one regardless of the numerical count of the dealer's hand.

Spanish twenty-one card game method of play

A modified method of playing Baccarat is provided in which the conventional 5% commission charged by the gaming establishment on winning Bank hand wagers is eliminated. Preselected combinations of Bank and Player hands which would have been winning Bank hands under the conventional manner of play of Baccarat are treated as 'push' or 'bar' hands. The preselected combinations are chosen so that the gaming establishment maintains its desired percentage advantage over the bettor. In another embodiment, changes are made to the 'third card draw rules' so that the Player's hand and the Bank's hand operate under the same criteria for whether a third card is or is not dealt to each respective hand. Separate mechanical or electrical devices can also be used to establish that a particular round of play of Baccarat would be a Bank hand 'bar' round. Additionally, extra side wagers are added to the game. The bettor may make an additional wager that the hand will end in a tie, or that the 'bar' hand will occur, or that a four card natural situation will occur or other additional combinations may occur during the play of the game. Appropriate odds are selected for each of these side bets. Additionally, one or more NO VALUE cards can be added to the standard deck of cards used in Baccarat. The NO VALUE card signals that if the Bank would normally have won that round, the Bank is barred from winning that round.
