The present invention relates to a device for removal of exhausts from vehicles, which device includes a rail (3) which is mounted in premises in which the vehicle is located when its exhausts shall be removed. The rail (3) may be composed or put together of a plurality of rail members (19) of which each rail member (19) has a length which is similar to or somewhat less than the length of a standard-type pallet (21) so that all the rail members (19) of one rail (3) or several rails (3) can be transported on said pallet (21) in unassembled condition. Each rail member (19) has such coupling spaces in opposite end portions that coupling portions of coupling members (20) can be inserted into coupling spaces of two adjacent rail members (19). Coupling portions inserted into said coupling spaces and the rail members (19) in question can be attached to each other by means of fastening or mounting means (26) so that the rail members (19) and the coupling members (20) together define a rigid rail (3) along which the carriage (6) is displaceable or movable.

A retaining and releasing device for an exhaust-gas extraction nozzle, which nozzle (5) is adapted for extracting exhaust gases from upwardly directed exhaust pipes (3 ) on vehicles, e.g. fire-fighting vehicles, when these vehicles are started and driven in premises for the vehicles, e.g. a fire station. To permit safe retention of the nozzle (5) at the exhaust pipe (3) with sufficient forces without the forces counteracting release of the exhaust pipe (3) from the nozzle (5), the retaining and releasing device includes at least one retaining and releasing arm (29) which is movable between a retaining position (D) wherein it permits retention of the exhaust-gas extraction nozzle (5) at the exhaust pipe (3) and a releasing position wherein it permits release of the exhaust pipe (3) from the nozzle (5), whereby a retaining device (43) is provided to retain the retaining and releasing arm (29) in its retaining position (D) and to release the arm (29) such that the arm can move to its releasing position when the exhaust-gas extraction nozzle (5) reaches a certain position in the premises (1).

A device for connecting an exhaust suction hose (1) to the exhaust pipe (3) of a vehicle (4) in such a way that the exhaust fumes of the vehicle (4) are carried away via the exhaust suction hose (1). The exhaust suction hose (1) being disposed at the top of a workshop or like premises and a dependent part of the exhaust suction pipe (1) being connectable to the exhaust pipe (3) of a vehicle (4) in the premises. The exhaust suction pipe (1) being kept connected to the exhaust pipe (3) while the vehicle is driven about in the premises, and the exhaust suction hose (1) being automatically released from the exhaust pipe (3) when the vehicle (4) is driven out of the premises. To void damage to the exhaust pipe, the exhaust suction hose (1) constitutes and/or cooperates with a tensioning device (12) which can be tensioned by bending and/or stretching an end portion (11) of the exhaust suction hose (1) and which retains the end portion (11) to the exhaust pipe (3) by being tensioned when the exhaust suction hose (1) is attached to the vehicle (4) via a fastening device (10) and when the end portion (11) is passed onto the exhaust pipe (3).
