The present invention provides an independently operable and serviceable ticket burster machine that properly handles perforated tickets of all shapes, sizes and thicknesses. The present invention includes a ticket burster element, an exit sensor with a mechanical flag switch, an inventory flag spanning the entire width of the ticket input slot and having an optical slot switch, a slidable ticket guide, one or more leaf spring arrangements and versatile and durable rollers.

A method and system for data input is provided. The method includes inputting data, reading a subset of a set of predefined machine-readable codes from a printed media, the printed media including thereon the set of predefined machine-readable codes and a set of human-readable indicia. Each of the set of human-readable indicia is associated with a respective one of the set of predefined machine-readable codes. Each of the set of human-readable indicia indicates a user-selectable input value. The subset of the plurality of predefined machine-readable codes consists of predefined machine-readable codes that have not been defaced. The method also includes saving as user input values the user-selectable input values indicated by the indicia that are associated with the machine-readable codes in the set of predefined machine-readable codes that have not been read.

Method and device for data input

A mobile lottery terminal is disclosed. The mobile lottery terminal includes a processor. The mobile lottery terminal may include a Braille keypad in communication with the processor. The mobile lottery terminal may also include a customer information input device in communication with the processor and operable to input information indicative of a customer-selected lottery number. A touch screen image setting frame configured to be placed over a monitor having a touch screen overlay, including an inner perimeter that defines an opening in the touch screen image setting frame, an outer perimeter disposed parallel to the inner perimeter, at least one surface configured to conform to the surface of a monitor, and a device disposed on the touch screen image setting frame and configured to at least temporarily secure the touch screen image setting frame to the front of the monitor, wherein the vertical and horizontal dimensions of the inner perimeter are equal to or adjustable to be equal to the vertical and horizontal dimensions of a touch screen active area of the touch screen overlay, and a method of using the same is disclosed.
