The present invention relates to a bipolar plate for fuel cells, comprising at least a shaped, at least partially electrically conductive foil (), the bipolar plate having a channel structure () formed by the shaping of the foil (), to convey reactants to electrodes of adjacent fuel cells and to carry away reaction products, and a microstructure () is integrated into the foil () to increase the rigidity of the foil (). The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing corresponding bipolar plates.

The present invention relates to bipolar plate () as well as to a fuel cell assembly (). The bipolar plate comprises two outer surfaces () which are electrically connected to one another, for the electrical contacting, as well as the discharge and supply of gases and/or fluids to the surfaces of the fuel cells which are adjacent to the outer surfaces. The bipolar plate comprises a frame () open in the central region as well as an inner part () arranged in the central reign, wherein the frame and the inner part are elastically connected to one another.

Bipolar plate

The invention refers to gaskets suitable for usage in internal combustion engines. The gaskets according to the invention comprise at least one metal layer, the metal layer having one or several openings in accordance with the number and location of the combustion chambers, and, if present, coolant and lubricant passageways of the internal combustion engine, and a metal ring located around the combustion chamber opening(s), the metal ring being laminated on the metal layer and joined to the latter over a plastic layer. The plastic layer provides the gasket in the region of the metal ring with plastic, plastic/elastic or elastic characteristics. Furthermore the invention refers to a method for manufacturing the gasket according to the invention.

Gasket and a method for the manufacture thereof

A metal gasket is proposed, especially a cylinder head gasket for a combustion engine, which comprises a sealing plate having a combustion chamber through-hole, a deformation-limiting device lying adjacent to the combustion chamber through-hole and respectively one top and one bottom layer. The deformation-limiting device is configured as a symmetrical bead in relation to the top and bottom layers. A protrusion preferably provided with a radius is orientated towards one of the top and bottom layers and opposite thereto a depression facing the other of the top and bottom layers is provided which is surrounded by two raised portions projecting opposite the surface of the sealing plate. A filling is accommodated in the depression.

Flat metal gasket

The invention relates to a metal gasket, in particular a cylinder head gasket, having two beaded metallic cover sheets and having at least one sandwich sheet, which surrounds an opening. This invention relates to a flat gasket, and particularly a cylinder head gasket for internal combustion engines. In order to obtain a less expensive arrangement of the metallic seal and the soft material gasket ring, a direct procedure is adopted to provide a positive connection using metallic sealing projections provided on the seal.
