An adjustment system for ski boots includes a collar which can be swivelled in relation to a shell, the forward pivotal movement of which may optionally be damped by a damping spring which on one side is supported on an offset formation of the collar and on the other side by a bolt mounted in the shell. The shell side end of the bolt is mounted by means of a ball joint in a sleeve which may itself designed as such a sleeve. The pivoting movement of the collar in a rearward direction may be limited by an adjustable stop member, which is formed by a sleeve mounted in the shell. The sleeve comprises at least one catch formation into which an externally operable counter catch formation engages, with the sleeve in angular staggered relationship to at least one catch formation and comprising a guide member directed parallel to the access of the sleeve and extending over the axial length thereof, thus co-acting with a counter member provided in the shell.

Adjustment system for ski boots having an articulated collar

A ski boot in the form of an overlap construction, comprising a boot body 10, respectively a shell or the like and a collar 11 fitted to the shell pivotally. The boot body 10 and the collar 11 are closable in front by clasps 12 and 13. The collar 11 is provided on the heel side with a mechanism comprising a guide 3, in which a strap 2 is vertically movable and is linked on to the boot body 10 by way of its ends which are remote from the guide 3. At one of the two ends of the guide 3 a lever 5 is linked on pivotally which by means of a projection 15 engages into the slot 7 of the guide 3 in the pressed down position of the lever 5 and limits the vertical movement of the strap 2.

A device for the operation of adjustment, fastening or the like elements of ski shoes and ski bindings comprises a small plate (5) adapted to be used as a screw driver, and which has been attached to a strap (3), belt or the like for the locking or holding together of the upper end of the ski shoe upper, for instance the collar (2).

Damping element for ski boots, comprising a collar 21, swivellable in skiing direction, in relation to a shell 20, the swivel movement being damped in forward direction by a damping spring 9, positioned on the heel side, which is supported on a shoulder 22 of the collar 21 on the one hand, and on a bolt 3, mounted in the shell 20, on the other, the bolt in the shell 20 being mounted level- adjustably and lockably.

Damping element for ski boots

The shield of a ski-boot, which covers the instep region of the wearer's foot, is formed from a succession of individual elements which are overlapped in a fishscale-like manner so as to transmit pressure exerted by the wearer's leg or ski to the lowermost of the element which is fixed to the toe end of the boot undershell. The individual elements are guided on a central lenghtwise strap.

Means for adjusting the freedom of movement between the instep shield (2) and the tip (1') of a shell (1) for skiing boots having a shell (1) which accommodates the foot and is covered on top by such shield (2). The shield is movable in relation to the shell (1) in the direction of walking and at its front rim (21) is supported on a resilient cushion (6) e.g. of rubber fitted to the boot tip (1'), following the arcuate shape thereof. In the transverse central region of the cushion (6) a slider (11), taking the form of a double-armed toggle lever and which is adjustable in the walking direction, is provided. It limits the adjustment range of the shield (2) and comprises a ratchet device which, biased by a spring engages into a matching ratchet formation of a guide in any selected position.

A ski boot comprises a shell and shaft designed for stepping in from the rear and composed of a collar and a lid. The collar and the front portion of the shell form a first integral part, whereas the rear, heel portion of the shell together with the lid form a second integral part. The two integral parts are pivotal about an axis in the sole region, transverse to the travelling direction and are mutually fixable in the position of use.

Device for securing a shaft or shaft cover on ski boots comprising a shell and a leg. At least one part of the leg, when the leg comprises a leg cover and sleeve, is the leg cover which pivots about an axis of the shell or of any leg sleeve transverse to the boot's direction of travel. Located between the leg or cover and the heel section of the shell is a catch which is subjected to a spring force that moves the catch into the closed position and which may be forced open against the spring force acting on the inside of the boot and which is supported over a lower face on the heel section of the shell. In the locked position of the catch the leg or cover under load presses against the catch, which in turn presses against the shell without loading the pivoting pin of the catch.

Process for filling with foam an inner boot of skiing boot in which the foam or the material to be expanded into a foam is introduced in the lower boot region. The foam or material is directed from the instep region towards the lower heel end and is thus introduced into the skiing boot until it emerges from the heel end. This causes the lateral front region of the inner boot to be filled with foam asymmetrically in relation to the longitudinal central plane.

Skiing boot with a shell and a shaft comprising a cover for entering the boot from behind and a collar forming the front portion of the shaft and extending right into the upper portion of the shell. The collar jointly with an on- following region of the upper portion of the shell forms a structural unit which is adjustable in the direction of motion in relation to the upper tip portion of the shell.

A ski boot having a shell and a leg portion (3) which is pivotable in the longitudinal direction relative to said shell. To permit entry into the boot from the rear, the leg portion may comprise a sleeve, which is to surround the front, lower portion of the user's shin bone and is open towards the heel, and a cover which is forwardly-upwardly and rearwardly-downwardly pivotable relative to said sleeve and, when the boot has been put on, the cover is securable on the sleeve by its closing means. The leg portion, or respectively the sleeve, has in its front region at least one slot which extends downwardly from its upper edge. In the instep region of the leg portion (3), this ski boot has two leg portion flaps (18,18') which are interconnected by means of at least one pivot member (21, 21a), so that they are vertically displaced in opposite directions relative to each other. An adjustable pressure or locking member is provided between the leg portion flaps (18, 18') and, in one position, establishes a form- or force-locking connection with the two leg portion flaps (18, 18') and, in another position, releases this connection.
