When a unit such as a motor or other vibrating apparatus is suspended in a fixed frame, superior damping of vibration, oriented along multiple vibration axis, may be accomplished by use of the present embodiment. A supporting body, containing multiple cavities filled with a damping fluid, is located between a supporting member and a bearing member. The cavities are connected to each other by tubes. The vibration of the unit which may occur along multiple vibration axes is effectively damped by compression of the cavities and subsequent transfer of fluid through the tubes.

Vibration-reducing bearing

A flexible shaft coupling in which the torque transmission takes place by way of elastomer shackles between the two shafts to be coupled. The coupling components in the form of separate anchoring plates are all arranged in a single radial plane of the coupling, whereas the radially outward-pointing elastomer shackles are mounted to enclose the coupling. For predetermined torques to be transmitted, this design allows minimal outside dimensions of the flexible shaft coupling, as a result of which these couplings are especially applicable to wheel driveshafts of motor vehicles.

Flexible shaft-coupling

A suspension eye (1), having two suspension points, for an exhaust system of a motor vehicle has a band (2) of elastomer material and a self-contained liner (3) which is elastically deformable in the plane of the band and has an at least rhombus-like initial shape. The liner (3) consists of extensible, resiliently compliant material. Embedded in the band (2) are two bushes (4, 5) and the liner (3) in the band (2) bears directly against the bushes (4, 5).

A mount for engine, gearbox or similar parts of a motor vehicle has a bearing body (1) of elastomer material, the bearing body (1) being subjected to tensile stress. In the bearing body (1), a self-contained liner (6) is provided, which is elastically deformable in the plane of the bearing body, is of extensible, resiliently compliant material and has an initially spread, unstretched initial shape. Until reaching a stretched position, the bearing body (1) alone is subjected to tensile stress. On exceeding the stretched position of the liner (6), bearing body (1) and liner (6) are subjected to tensile stress.
