Examples disclosed herein relate to printhead indexing. An example method can include rotating a crank arm connected to a coupling bar. The method can include moving a print sled translationally by the coupling bar, where the print sled may be located in X, Z, and Y orthogonal dimensions. In this example, the print sled may be translationally moved to one of a number of index positions by the coupling bar in response to rotation of the crank arm, where the number of index positions are separately located in a Y dimension with the same Z dimension.

Printhead indexer

According to one example, there is provided a three-dimensional printing system that comprises first and second build material supports adjacent to opposite sides of a build platform, when installed, a distributor to distribute build material, and a spreader for spreading build material. The three-dimensional printing system also comprises a controller to control the distributor to form a pile of build material before a first side of the build platform, to control the spreader to spread across the build platform and to form a pile of excess build material beyond a second side of the build platform, to control the spreader to move to the other side of the pile of excess build material, and to control the spreader to spread the pile of excess build material across the build platform to form a pile of excess build material on the first side of the build platform.

Supplying build material

A drop detector includes a printed circuit board (PCB) including a number of optical channels each formed by a light emitter and a light detector and a number of holes defined in the PCB over which the optical channels pass over and through which a number of ejected drops from a number of printheads pass through wherein each of the number of holes defined in PCB are sized to contour the shape of the number of the printheads.

Drop detector

A spring pad for ensuring electrical interconnection between electrical contacts of a printer carriage and corresponding electrical contacts of a print cartridge installed in the printer carriage includes a base having a first side and a second side opposite the first side, and a plurality of resilient bumps protruding from the first side of the base. Each of the resilient bumps have a substantially semi-ellipsoidal shape and include a hollow interior communicating with the second side of the base.

Spring pad for electrical interconnection of inkjet printing system

A defibrillator patient connection system is disclosed for automatically identifying to a defibrillator system the type of pads or paddles assembly connected to the system for conveying electrical energy to shock a patient. Each of the available pads or paddles assemblies is identified by a corresponding analog voltage level provided to the base unit through a corresponding cable assembly. The identification voltage is sensed by an A/D converter in the defibrillator base unit. The identification voltage is provided to the base unit on a charge-done signal line which otherwise is asserted by the base unit to controllably actuate a charge-done indicator light in an external paddles assembly. The disclosed methods and apparatus thus maintain a simple defibrillator/cable assembly interface and require no additional signal lines for implementing automatic identification. A plug assembly latch mechanism also is disclosed that provides the dual functions of locking a plug assembly in place in the defibrillator base unit and preventing actuation of discharge buttons on the plug assembly when the latch is not in the locked position, thereby avoiding a high energy discharge unless the plug assembly is securely locked in position.

Defibrillator patient connection system with automatic identification

An enclosure for electronic equipment is disclosed having a series of vents arranged for ventilating the enclosure while minimizing flowing of spilled liquid into the enclosure through the vents. A series of vent pockets is formed in a side wall of the enclosure, extending downward from a top surface of the enclosure so that spilled liquid flows downward into the vent pockets. The vent pockets have a generally u-shaped configuration with an aperture extending through one of the side walls for ventilation. The apertures thus are formed in a plane substantially orthogonal to the top surface and the side wall of the enclosure. A liquid flow path through the vent pocket diverts the spilled liquid away from the aperture, so as to minimize flow of the liquid through the aperture into the enclosure. Another aspect of the invention is a low-cost method of making the enclosure by injection molding.
