In a manufacturing method and apparatus for manufacturing sheet metal packets in punch-packeting technology with a round or oval iron cross section. laminations are punched from a ribbon and are provided with depressions at one side and with elevations at the other side that coincide with the depressions and lie opposite them, with the elevations being in the form of at least two circular nipples being pressed into the depressions upon assembly of each packet. In one lamination per packet, serving as a separating lamination, cylindrical holes are punched instead of the depressions, the nipples of the neighboring lamination engaging into these holes. Laminations are thereby punched from the strip that respectively exhibit different outside contours, particularly different widths, and are joined with one another to form a packet that has a cross-section that is at least partially round, by virtue of the sheet metal packet having graduated edges.

Method and device for producing bundles of sheet metal laminates for magnetic cores

The magnetic marker strip is formed of a signal strip made from ferromagnetic material with a low coercive force onto which there is applied ferromagnetic material whose coercive force is distinctly higher than that of the material of the signal strip. The signal strip is relatively long as compared with its width, and emits harmonic-containing signals in a first, unmagnetized state as a consequence of the magnetic field in the interrogation region and emits no harmonic-containing signal in a second state in this magnetic field. The ferromagnetic material with the larger coercive force is arranged in the form of a plurality of control elements at a spacing from one another on the signal strip, the width of the control elements being essentially equal to the width of the signal strip, and the control elements switching the signal strip into the first state when they are in a first, unmagnetized state, and switching the signal strip into the second state when they are in a second, magnetized state. The signal strip is cut to length from a tape made from an amorphous, ductile alloy that is virtually free from magnetostriction transversely to the longitudinal axis of the tape, and the tape has a flat B-H loop whose axis is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the band.

In a method for strip-wound core strips composed of amorphous ferromagnetic material, an amorphous ferromagnetic strip composed of a cobalt-based alloy which contains additives of iron and/or manganese in a proportion of between 1 and 10% by atomic weight of the alloy is cast from a melt by means of rapid solidification. The amorphous ferromagnetic strip is then subjected to a magnetic field transversely with respect to the strip direction as it passes through heat treatment. Once the strip-wound core strips have been cut to length from the heat-treated, amorphous ferromagnetic strip, strip-wound cores, preferably toroidal strip-wound cores, are wound. These strip-wound cores can be used to produce inductive components which have excellent magnetic characteristics, and, in particular, inductive components can be produced whose toroidal strip-wound cores have a mean diameter of d&lE;10 mm.

Process for manufacturing tape wound core strips and inductive component with a tape wound core

An iron-based, cobalt-containing soft magnetic alloy suitable for use as a core in a magnetic switch or other exciting circuits has a cobalt content of 6 through 30 weight percent, at least one of the elements chromium, molybdenum, vanadium and tungsten in range of 3 through 8 weight percent, and a remainder iron, possibly including inconsequential contaminants. The alloy has a coercive field strength of lower than or equal to 3.2 A/cm, and a saturation flux density of greater than 1.9 Tesla.

Nickel-based solder compositions having improved wetting behavior, the soldering alloys containing aluminum and chromium, and one or more of the metals zirconium, niobium, or titanium added to the solder in amounts of from 0.1 to 5 atomic percent. Particularly effective soldering alloys contain 0 to 4 atomic percent iron, 0 to 21 atomic percent chromium, 0 to 19 atomic percent boron, 0 to 12 atomic percent silicon, 0 to 22 atomic percent phosphorus, 0 to 3 atomic percent carbon, and 0.1 to 5 atomic percent niobium, zirconium, or titanium, the remainder being nickel, the boron, carbon, silicon, and phosphorus concentrations totaling from 16 to 24 atomic percent.
