Strap for marking and identification of electric cables

A measuring shaft intended to be fixed in a hole is equipped with strain gauges or similar devices for sensing a load. The inner end of the measuring shaft is threaded to engage with threads provided in the bottom of the hole, and the outer end of the measuring shaft is fixed in relation to the hole so that the measuring shaft like a part unseparated from the walls of the hole but nevertheless detachable, accompanies the motions of the said walls.

A device for securing a load on a load carrying vehicle comprises a frame attached to the vehicle, an expandible bellows mounted to the frame, at least one end of the bellows being movable relative to the frame, a balance arm pivotally mounted at its center to the movable end of the bellows, tensioning arms connected to the end portions of the balance arm, the tensioning arms being pivotally mounted to the frame at one end thereof, and a plurality of elongated load securing connecting devices connected to the ends of the tensioning arms, whereby when the bellows is expanded, the balance arm and the tension arms are displaced relative to the frame to draw the elongated connecting devices taut to secure the load to the load carrying vehicle.

Device for securing a load on a vehicle

A device for sensing the exerted load on a rope, wire, or the like, comprises two mutually aligned wheels around which the rope or wire passes and a load sensor placed between the wheels. A clamping device connected to the load sensor is clamped to the rope or wire to divert the path of the rope or wire as it passes between the wheels. The load sensor comprises a roller connected to the clamping device and a shaft pivotally mounted within the roller by means of self-aligning bearings. A plurality of transducers are mounted to the shaft and the transducers are coupled to a means for indicating the load on the rope, wire, or the like as a function of a variation in the electrical characteristics of the transducer during bending of the shaft responsive to exertion of a load on the rope, wire, or the like.

Device for sensing exerted load on a rope, wire, or the like

A scaffolding bracket for attachment to a ship's bulkhead, or other vertical wall structure, having flanged, horizontally extending strengthening bars is provided with a beam and a hook member for engagement with a strengthening bar, at an arbitrarily selected point. One end of the beam, in mounted position, reaches in below the bar and is provided with an upwardly directed stanchion, upon which a two armed lever is pivotably mounted. A longer part of this lever is directed towards the hook member, leaving a clearance between its end and the hook member suitable for the reception of the flange of the strengthening bar.
