A positioning clamp with a ring-shaped base body and at least one substantially radial clamping mechanism associated with the base body. The base body (2) is formed as a deep-drawing part (31) and provided with a pocket (8) which is formed concurrently during deep-drawing, for at least partially receiving the substantially radial clamping mechanism (9). In addition, a method for making a positioning clamp is described.

Positioning clamp and method of making thereof

The invention relates to a hose clamp with a U-shaped lower housing, wherein an end section of a tightening strap is secured to the bottom of the lower housing, and with an upper housing which is pivotally supported in the lower housing for engaging or disengaging a worm drive with the other end region of the tightening strap, wherein the worm drive is supported in the upper housing such as to permit rotation, but no substantial axial movement, and wherein the upper housing comprises mounting tabs formed as one piece which engage or are capable of engaging, respectively, from the inside of the lower housing with recesses in side walls forming the legs of the U-shaped lower housing. It is provided that the upper housing (5)--when viewed in transverse cross section of the worm drive--partially encloses (partial enclosure contour 46) the worm drive (7), and that the mounting tabs (55, 56) originate from front edges (47) of the formed partial enclosure contour (46), with the front edges (47) forming lateral edges (48) of the upper housing (5) and extending at least approximately in the longitudinal direction of the worm drive.

The invention concerns a clamp having a band-shaped clamping section and a clamping device used to connect the end areas of the clamping sections, which each have a mounting flange extending at an angle to the respective clamping section end, whereby a clamping component acts on the two mounting flanges. It is provided that a reinforcing corner connection (14, 15) proceeds from each of the two lateral edges (12, 13) of each mounting flange (11), the reinforcing corner connection being connected with the respective lateral edge (16, 17) of the end area of the adjacent clamping section (18). Furthermore, the invention concerns a pipe connection having clamps of this type.

A hose clamp which includes a metallic tightening strap and a tightener that has a housing to which the final portion of the tightening strap is adapted to be fastened as well as a rotatably mounted tightening worm cooperable with a gear tooth system of the tightening strap so as to enable an adjustment of the tightening strap. The final portion of the tightening strap is provided with a bent portion adapted to be inserted into a transverse slit provided in the bottom portion of the housing, with the transverse slit extending substantially at a right angle to the tightening strap. The bent part includes a cross bar which is adapted to be pressed onto a longitudinal wall of the transverse slit by a tension applied to the tightening strap when the tightening strap is tightened.
