A method for control of a pressurized air supply system for a motor vehicle. In a supply condition, the air compressor is driven by the drive motor and connected to a compressed air system of the motor vehicle such that compressed air is supplied to the compressed air system. The housing is manufactured from at least two separate sheet metal components which are placed on the primary wheel and/or the secondary wheel, are aligned with each other at a joint abutment location, and are welded together. In the area of the welded joint abutment, a relief which is open toward the joint abutment is provided and which extends along the joint abutment in the surface of the primary wheel and/or the secondary wheel.

The invention relates to a hydrodynamic coupling comprising an impeller (), which propels a drive machine and a turbine wheel (), which propels a drive machine. The turbine wheel and its rotationally fixed coupling shell () form a coupling housing (). A centrifugal force valve () comprising a valve body () that is actuated using centrifugal force, is located in the outer peripheral region of the coupling housing, said valve being mounted in an outlet () for working medium from the working chamber, in such a way that the valve body essentially or completely seals the outlet when the centrifugal force valve is closed and releases said outlet when the valve is open, allowing the working medium to flow out. The valve body of the centrifugal force valve is supplied with working medium exclusively on its radial inner face and its radial outer face is subjected exclusively to the action of an elastic, mechanical pressure element (), which acts in the closing direction of the centrifugal force valve.

The invention relates to a propulsion power transmission device having a first interface () and a second interface (). According to the invention, a hydrodynamic clutch is mounted in the driving connection between the first interface and the second interface and a first gear train () and a second gear train () are mounted parallel to each other in the driving connection, in series with the hydrodynamic clutch, the second gear train () causing a reversal in the direction of rotation in relation to the first gear train () at one of the two interfaces (). The invention relates to a method for optimizing engine braking in a drive unit, particularly used for motor vehicles, comprising an internal combustion engine consisting of a crankshaft, and an exhaust gas turbine which is connected to a crankshaft via a transfer device. The present invention relates to a hydrodynamic clutch in a drive system, notably a turbo compound system. The hydrodynamic clutch includes a pump impeller and a turbine impeller which together form a toroidal working space. The turbine impeller is joined to a take-off shaft in torsionally fixed fashion and the pump impeller bears, via a bearing arrangement, on the take-off shaft. Coordinated with the toroidal working space is an operating medium supply system. The operating medium supply system includes an operating medium supply space which is arranged radially interior to the toroidal working space and bounded in the axial direction by the bearing arrangement and the contour of the turbine impeller. A central operating medium supply duct is arranged in the take-off shaft and extends in the take-off shaft in the axial direction at least up into the area of the center plane of the clutch. At least one distributing duct connects the central operating medium supply duct to the operating medium supply space.

An actuating device for a disk brake operates two brake shoes to move axially against the opposite sides of the brake disk. Each brake shoe is connected by a pin to a brake caliper half. Each brake caliper half is comprised of two levers spaced one above the other, with one end of the lever attached to the respective brake shoe for the brake caliper half, the other end of the lever attached to the respective side of the actuator for the caliper halves and all of the levers being pivotable about a common mounting pin disposed between the brake shoes and the actuator. The levers of the pairs alternate so that each brake caliper half is slightly offset along the mounting pin from the central plane of the brake. All levers are identically shaped. Each pair of levers is connected by a respective pin at the actuator and a respective pin at the brake shoe.
