A memory system includes a computing device and a memory device. The memory device includes: first connection ports; a second connection port; a compute express link switch connected to the first connection ports; and a processor connected to the second connection port and the compute express link switch. The processor is configured to obtain a current configuration of the first connection ports from the computing device through the second connection port to update an original configuration stored by the processor, wherein the current configuration indicates an electronic device connected to each of the first connection ports.

Memory system

A server system is disclosed herein, which comprises a first BIOS (Basic Input/Output System chip, a second BIOS chip, a baseboard management controller (BMC) and a platform controller. In a preset mode, the platform controller is conductively connected with the first BIOS chip through the BMC and the multiplexer so that the server system is activated by the first BIOS chip. Upon detecting a failure of a POST (Power-on self-test) initialization of the first BIOS chip, the BMC transmits a control command to the multiplexer so as to make the platform controller conductively connecting with the second BIOS chip through the BMC and the multiplexer so that the server system is activated by the second BIOS chip.

Automatic restart server system

A server system is disclosed herein, which includes a first BIOS chip, a second BIOS chip, a platform controller, and a baseboard management controller. The platform controller and the baseboard management controller are electrically connected to a first multi-way selector and a second multi-way selector, respectively. The first multi-way selector and the second multi-way selector are individually electrically connected to both the first BIOS chip and the second BIOS chip. The disclosure can accomplish an aspect that when either of the first BIOS chip and the second BIOS chip fails in activating the server system, the server system can be automatically activated by the other BIOS chip. Further, by the baseboard management controller, a firmware of the fail-to-activate BIOS chip can be simultaneously updated, thereby improving security and reliability of the server system.

Server system

A rack including a rack management controller and a plurality of server nodes, is disclosed. The rack management controller receives a firmware updating file, and generates an updating message according to the firmware updating file. Each of the plurality of server nodes includes a memory and a baseboard management controller. The memory stores firmware of a basic input output system. The baseboard management controller is coupled to the rack management controller and the memory. The baseboard management controller receives the updating message to download the firmware updating file from the rack management controller and to stores it to a storage space. The baseboard management controller controls the memory to enter a recovery mode after downloading the firmware updating file, and writes the firmware updating file into the memory to update the firmware of the basic input output system.

Rack and method thereof for simultaneously updating basic input output systems

A container system including cabinets, a main control unit connected to the cabinets and a heat dissipation zone is mentioned. The cabinet includes a plurality of serving zones each of which further includes a master server and at least one slave server. The heat dissipation zone is disposed at a side of the serving zone and coupled to the main control unit. Each slave server is coupled to the master server. The slave server includes at least one temperature sensor, and the temperature sensor is used for outputting temperature information to the master server when receiving the temperature demand. The master server collects the temperature information transmitted by each slave server. The master server forwards the temperature information to the main control unit. The main control unit drives the heat dissipation zone to dissipate heat of the serving zone according to the temperature information.

Container system, cabinet, and heat dissipation method for container system

The disclosure provides a server including a baseboard management controller (BMC), a programmable logic device (PLD) and a blocking unit. The BMC receives an update instruction, and according to the update instruction, generates a firmware update data. The BMC generates an update signal according to on a reception state of the update instruction. The PLD is coupled to the BMC, receives the firmware update data to update a firmware. When the firmware is updated, the PLD generates a restart signal. The blocking unit is coupled to the BMC and the PLD, receives the update signal and the restart signal, and according to the update signal, determines whether to block the restart signal.

Server and method for updating firmware of server

A container system and a monitoring method for the container system are provided. The container system includes a plurality of servers and a master server node. The servers are arranged in N areas. The master server node is coupled to the servers. The master server node selects one of a plurality of servers in an iarea to be a main node of the iarea. The main node collects temperature information of the servers in the iarea to transmit highest temperature information to the master server node. When the master server node cannot connect to the main node, the master server node selects one of other servers connected to the master server node in the iarea to be a replacing node, and adjusts the replacing node to be the main node of the iarea to collect the temperature information in the iarea continuously.

Container system and monitoring method for container system

A method for obtaining an external IP address and its network protocol system are provided. A rack system of the network protocol system comprises a rack management controller (RMC), a power distribution unit and at least one node server. When a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) service is lost in the rack system, a jumper of the rack management controller is detected to obtain an identification code. Then, a first temporary IP address of the rack management controller is obtained based on the identification code and a first table, and a first command package is sent to the power distribution unit by the rack management controller. After the first command package is received by the power distribution unit, an IP assign service is activated to set a second temporary IP address of the node server so that the node server can still communicate with the system management terminal.
